Big fan of the world of Fallout and all the crazy builds you can make in different games. I'm also extremely biased towards artificers so I'm glad to see the Vault Dweller build maximizing the use of the arti features.
I've tried replaying so many times with so many different build styles, but I find myself really gravitating towards something similar to something that could fit the build this video focuses on.
@@dndbuilds Best thing about Battlesmith is it's not hard to tweak this to a melee build with a Super Sledge styled Warhammer. A lot of the fallout games seem to have really awesome sledgehammers available. I'm an Energy Weapon kinda guy myself, so I'd potentially run with Artillerist as my arti of choice for a fallout character. Or go full Brotherhood with some power armor styled Armorer.
Xptolevel3 made a whole ass fallout system with races n shit so you can always try that.
Waiting for the day we get the “How to bring a CYBERPUNK player into Dungeons and Dragons” video up. Nice vid as always DnD Builds.
Great idea. Love cyberpunk/Shadow Run
Remember artificers to always arm your local militias with +2 weapons.
Fallout TTRPG: HEY!
now I feel you got to make a super mutant and a ghoul kind of character
Was hoping for a video like this to compare to a fallout character build I have
Timestamp 6:45 you have a toilet seat hat
Amazing definitely subscribing for more of this❤
Thank you! I really appreciate it
I think if I was building Lucy from the show, I would have gone with Ranger or maybe Bard instead of Artificer as the base class, but it can really be sliced anyway you choose. I think "vault dweller" is more of a background than it is a class -- probably an adaptation of Cloistered Scholar (from the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide).
A difficult one, since any player can build almost anything.
Damn, I'm just seeing this like almost 2 months after i made my Battle Smith Artificer for Phandelver and Below. With a few differences, and the fact that I chose Fire Genasi, this build is so close to what I got. I guess I accidentally made a Fallout character because the Fallout brainrot has been kicking my ass these past couple months
Are you old enough to remember Dark Sun from ADnD (2e) back in the early 90s? It was a post-apocalyptic setting, more science (or pseudo science) than magic and very much in the vein of Fallout, Mad Max.
There’s literally a canon Fallout role playing game
I kept the suit for the big moments of the story. Most of my exploring was battle suitless, so I get that it wasn't you're go to.
Jacob and his team over on Arcane Acade has a free version of their own take of turning Fallout into a 5e-ish ttrpg too.
Thats awesome. I love your builds and how u break it down. My wife ask me if u could u do mash burnedead from magic and muscles??? Anyways love your builds. 😁
I know it's a bit obscure but I'd really be interested in seeing your take on Wiegraf or Agrias from final fantasy tactics
Adam from Record of Ragnarok would be a 🔥 build 😎
I'm saying a direct transfer is a Fallout character that you've played into D&D directly
Azrael from DC, make the angel of vengeance
That's an idea I like it
Thanks
Hey, radiant damage is clearly radiation!
1:40 Why would a sharpshooter have a minus 5 to their accuracy?
Alright so this is a big if but could you make a build of Cayde-6 from destiny 1/2 and if can how would you incorporate his self resurrection and his Golden Gun, and tomorrow is my bday
Can someone do higan from ninja Kamui please
By the way, you should play Fallout 1 and 2. If you haven't, you don't know what the bar is.
22 minute gang
Hellz yeah
Day 6 of asking for uncle Iroh
Fallout isn't D&D and D&D isn't Fallout. The differences are important, since Fallout is a skill-based system and D&D is class-based. A class-based system makes sense in a pseudo-medieval setting like the one in D&D, since the classes were supposed to represent professional guilds and widespread education wasn't really a thing. For a futuristic or contemporary game, a skill-based system like GURPS is a much better choice. The D&D system, no matter which edition, really wasn't designed with this kind of flexibility in mind.
I quit playing the Fallout games when Bethesda decided to turn them from role playing games into first person shooters.
I do like the build, but honestly, *ANY* Artificer subclass ... except maybe Alchemist ... would work as a Vault Dweller.
Myron from *Fallout 2* would make a good Alchemist, though ... 😉
Fallout New Vegas is worth playing. The only reason I don't hate Fallout 3 is because we wouldn't have New Vegas without it.
Fallout 76 is WAAAY better these days
Lucy is cool.
The Ghoul is a great example of a fallen hero.
Maximus is trash.
