SamuraiJo1 judging from Mania and Forces being connected, I'd say that Infinite used his time powers to grab Shadow either before Eggman awoke him, or during the timeframe of Shadow the Hedgehog when he was trying to find himself.

I will never understand Arin's relationship with Sonic
it's like batman and catwoman. they love each other, but each is the antithesis of everything the other believes in.
He enjoys laughing at over the top, ridiculous shit, especially when it's completely unironic. That, and broken games.
Sonic, at its worst, shines in both categories.

Probably would have, given the chance. Infinite only needed Eggman to tune the phantom ruby and provide it with a power source. Infinite only cares about being number one - and if that meant killing Eggman, he'd be able to do it with little resistance. Eggman hasn't shown the foresight to plan for his sidekicks turning on him; he destroyed all the prototypes that could've possibly served to counter the completed phantom ruby. How could he possibly stop someone with the power to edit someone's perception of reality?
