Imagine in 2019 we got a trilogy album but all of them are completely in different sound 🤡 In 2019 we have zimzalabim, a very fun, quirky and it's gonna take you to a roller coaster ride because of how complex the arrangement is. (trust me you'll go "WTF IS HAPPENING. THIS CHANGES A LOT" lol. We also call Zimzalabim as the national clown anthem (they literally put the "clown song" as the instrumental in the beginning if you listen to it closely.) next we have Umpah umpah which highlights a more disney-like or High School Musical vibe. It's perfect for both summer and rainy season. A genius composing I would say because the song has a very bright melody and it's perfect for summer in Korea, but the mv itself is not that sunny-like, idk how to explain but you definitely can feel that it is also perfect to listen during a rainy day because of how they execute the instrumental at the back (thunder and rain sound effects etc) Lastly, PSYCHO just wrapped everything in the best way. Inspired by the movie, Black Swan. The production, the lyrics, everything was done so well to indicate "YES IT IS THE ENDING OF A TRILOGY ALBUM". But ofc something had to happen last year.... 😭(the lyrics "hey now we'll be okay" in the song actually relates a lot with the fans. It's very comforting since only a few days after Psycho was released, they were supposed to have the first Psycho performance on TV. But Wendy fall off from a 3m platform due to the negligence of the tv staff. As a result, she hurt her cheekbones, wrists and pelvic and took almost a year to recover. We never see Psycho live performance as 5 and that what hurts the most because Psycho was breaking records here and there. In September 2020, they make the first appearance as 5 members again so the lyrics kinda make us feel strong that time. However Wendy still cannot participate actively cause a broken pelvic really needs a lot of time to fully recover. Idk if we will get ot5 in 2020 😥)

One of the Prime reasons Red Velvet though having perfect discography, doesn't have a huge fandom like other major groups is because of their Versatility ! They don't cater to one type of audience and always keep their fans on the tip of their toes for what kind of concept and genres they're going to get into next time. So the Fandom keeps Swinging for each release as some prefer Velvet type and some prefer Red type and some prefer anything they release, like me :)

In 2019 we have zimzalabim, a very fun, quirky and it's gonna take you to a roller coaster ride because of how complex the arrangement is. (trust me you'll go "WTF IS HAPPENING. THIS CHANGES A LOT" lol. We also call Zimzalabim as the national clown anthem (they literally put the "clown song" as the instrumental in the beginning if you listen to it closely.)
next we have Umpah umpah which highlights a more disney-like or High School Musical vibe. It's perfect for both summer and rainy season. A genius composing I would say because the song has a very bright melody and it's perfect for summer in Korea, but the mv itself is not that sunny-like, idk how to explain but you definitely can feel that it is also perfect to listen during a rainy day because of how they execute the instrumental at the back (thunder and rain sound effects etc)
Lastly, PSYCHO just wrapped everything in the best way. Inspired by the movie, Black Swan. The production, the lyrics, everything was done so well to indicate "YES IT IS THE ENDING OF A TRILOGY ALBUM". But ofc something had to happen last year.... 😭(the lyrics "hey now we'll be okay" in the song actually relates a lot with the fans. It's very comforting since only a few days after Psycho was released, they were supposed to have the first Psycho performance on TV. But Wendy fall off from a 3m platform due to the negligence of the tv staff. As a result, she hurt her cheekbones, wrists and pelvic and took almost a year to recover. We never see Psycho live performance as 5 and that what hurts the most because Psycho was breaking records here and there. In September 2020, they make the first appearance as 5 members again so the lyrics kinda make us feel strong that time. However Wendy still cannot participate actively cause a broken pelvic really needs a lot of time to fully recover. Idk if we will get ot5 in 2020 😥)

I love how diverse they are because my music taste is also diverse. Like most of the songs I usually listen to is indie/punk/alternative stuff but then I also love me some pop songs
One of the Prime reasons Red Velvet though having perfect discography, doesn't have a huge fandom like other major groups is because of their Versatility ! They don't cater to one type of audience and always keep their fans on the tip of their toes for what kind of concept and genres they're going to get into next time. So the Fandom keeps Swinging for each release as some prefer Velvet type and some prefer Red type and some prefer anything they release, like me :)
Their most recent songs was a tribute cover that was rearranged called Mily Way and an OST called Future. Unfortunately one of they’re members Wendy was severely injured shortly after Psycho was released so they’ve been inactive.
"Kingdom Come" from the Perfect Velvet Album, "Hear the Sea" from the Red Summer Mini Album, and "Milky Way (Live on SM Station)" a cover of fellow SM artist BoA to commemorate her 20th debut anniversary. Kingdom Come embodies old-school R&B, Hear the Sea is so mellow and shows off the members' timbres well, and Milky Way's jazzy sound also shows off the members' vocal well since it is the most recent.
