  • I moved to the Dominican Republic in July 2020 and married my husband in November 2020. Our first apartment was perfect for us at the time, but eventually became too small. Two years after making San Pedro de Macoris my home, we moved to our current two-bedroom apartment. We love it so much so here it is!

Yes we have a well. One of my students just told me that houses are required to have a well when they are built.

That's awesome! Have you been here? We are near the policia nacional. It's perfect because our electric stays on 99% of the time

You got a better washer than the one i have here in Boston, you did not put the price in dollars, a month, i will look it up later, but my guess, if the apartment is less than $300 a month, then that will come with the neigbours noise factor level, i guess you paid what you can afford, even so, you can live there with $1000 dollars a month as a single person, too bad, for the retirement visa, they asking for the minimum of $1,500 a month, other than that, i think of you married a national, they might not ding you with the $1,500 a month requirement, peace out from Boston!!

We had a Dominican washing machine for almost two years until it broke. Once a week I tended to the laundry every 20 minutes for 8-10 hours. So we saved up for an automatic washer which we got on sale for about $400. But that's a lot of money for a retirement visa...

@@yonnyandkayla yeah, i have on those, via walmart cost me $180 and you have to tend to it, but is all good, i’m retired already, i have some patience in that regard, i don’t purchase the one that you have, because landlord have the tamperproof sockets in the kitchen sink so people don’t install washer in their apartments!!

I have learned a thing or two from your vids. I am in Santo Domingo. I've just retired here. I like San Pedro, especially the malecon, but it's closed now.

@@nmesis582 We still go to the malecon anyway 😅 even with all the construction going on. That's the place we go the most
