Big apology to ShowZ and everyone for the extreme delay on this video. This arrived just after school break started and fatherly duties ended up particularly stressful for the entire 6 weeks.
I actually ordered a VF-1S Roy KO just to compare with the Arcadia (non-Premium) and Yamato versions I have at home, because I want to know what the differences were, to avoid being scammed in the future when I hunt for Y/A figures.
On the plus side, Valkyrie factory uses the same density plastic, and it weighs exactly the same as the Yamato/Arcadia VF-1. The KO also has the awesome Premium Finish markings, which Arcadia charges a premium for (it's ridiculous).
The negatives though, you'll find small nub marks on the KO wwhich you won't see at all on the Y/A versions. Also some gapping issues in fighter mode, the area above the intakes don't sit as flush, the 2 halves that make up the thigh isn't flush and you'll see that gap clearly in battroid (bot) mode. If one can overlook these issues, the KO is a bargain in comparison because Arcadia prices are so inflated.
Great info, thanks for posting. Ive never seen the Yamato or Arcadia in person so its hard for me to know how they compare.
So Transformer fans are giving you grief? Well, guess they all better sell their Jetfire's then. Honestly, most Tf fans I know are huge Macross fans. I've never felt the two were even in competition.
I love valkyries age old designs
You’re back! Senpai is back! 😍😍😍
Howdy :)
Yeh I've got a couple of videos coming in the next couple lf weeks hopefully if I get some time alone.
Great to see another review from you! Loved it!
Thanks a lot, hope you enjoyed it :)
@@BotsandBits Certainly did. Looking forward to more reviews.
About time you back enjoy your ko transformers
I have the original Arcadia version and paid around $210. Nothing was loose due to that it is authentic. However, your KO version is great to have the tempos tho.
I have a similar problem with the rifle included with this figure, in which the handle is too tight to slide down and out. Is there anyway I can loosen that part?
How’s the plastic holding up after a couple months of transforming back and forth? I saw some reviews saw the plastic hinges stress and break rather easily when transforming.
I've transformed mine a couple more times since filming (I xformed it 4-5 times while filming) and I haven't noticed any stress marks or anything yet. I can see how the tail fin backpack could cause problems if youre careless. It was the same on the VF Roy as well.
This looks more like a KO of Toynami VF
Proportions and legs in particular are messed up on the toynami. Like the other VF products. This is a slightly softer ko of Arcadia
WTH is Valkyrie Factory???
The KO company that made this O_O
@@BotsandBits okay. Are they a new company or a new name for an older company?
@@MacrossJet announced pre orders 18 months ago, released their first KO's 7 months later. So far theyve made 4 bots with more repaints to come.
