About the video:
Finally I did it - getting under 9 minutes BTG (8:58.40) with stock chassis and Michelin PS4 tires at the beginning of July! The DIY-Alignment and the seat helped a lot to gain confidence in the car indeed. On the other hand the traffic at some neuralgic points of the track made it harder again. Now I'm ready for major improvements like better tires, chassis and an LSD. Let's see what's possible with that. Nonetheless there's still a lot of potential in the driving and the cojones.

These compacts look like track weapons, i really wanna build one as a track car.
And on top of that, they have no subframe issues (like coupe/cabrio/limo/touring)...
@@margauxlowery4324 I have a 318ti, I know that the engine is weak, but man, its a fucking fun car for corners and drift(also a nice daily if u dont have a rough suspension) and it has no rust at all, I'm surprised. I changed all control arms, bushings, etc. Its like a new car. I have to swap the engine tho. I wanna put 2.8 in it, but cant find one in my location so I'm thinking a 2.5 its enough.

Good choice! Fun fact: The sound of the M54 in the 325ti is even better than in the other E46s because of its "sound generator" from factory if you didn't already know. ;-)

I searched a bit about that « sound generator », but it’s not a common subject ahah! Is there anything to do to « active » it? I read something about removing the foam, but from what? Thank you in advance! 😂
@@Snakeplayerp As far as i know it's a box behind/underneath the MAF which is connected to the air intake duct and sends acoustiv waves directed to the driver.

The Z4 should have an even better version of this sound generator. :)
My 318ti is automatic i really wanna manual swap it some time. I love the automatic gearbox but now its annoyimg as it gets older
I've newer driven an E46 auto, but i often heard that these old automatics are too slow with too few gears. So I can understand this

Thanks! Please check the bottom of the description, there's everything listed in detail. Summary: Improved stock brake system and for the Nordschleife it's well balanced and sufficient. :) For GP-tracks I'm considering the 330i brake in the front to relieve the brake disc thermally.
But my brake sounds a little bit weird in the video due to a stuck brake piston in the rear to be honest. I solved the Problem straight after the lap with new pads to rescue the brake disc. ;)
May I ask about the filming rights on the track? Is it allowed to film without a press license? And are they checking the cars for cameras?
@@ChasingRabbits. As far as i know you need a press license strictly speaking. But at the moment it seems to be tolerated and noone ever asked me about my "dash cams".
