You guys tackled some serious terrain on this trail! Spectacular views from that cliff!
It is one of the beautiful drives in the area. The trail isn't that hard, can be done with 2" lift and 31s. We do it all because of that lookout. Thanks for watching and dropping us a comment once again 👍
Fantastic video. You guys have the best video Angles . Love that WK. thank you. Looking forward to the next.
Thanks for watching 👍 Glad you enjoy watching our videos and follow us. Thank you.
huuuuge cliff > "keep going, keep going" :)
😂😂😂😂
Very nice video and ride !
The WK is a great vehicle, a perfect balance between confortable ride on highway and huge off-road capabilities. I owned a CRD WK and reached slightly more than 270.000 km before selling it and still running well
That's awesome. They go good when looked after.
@@AussieFourWheelers Sort of goes for any car doesn't it? But only to a point... A lot of the times it's luck of the draw. Had an XJ that ran fine when I was student for over 40,000kms with nothing done apart from me changing the oil and filter. My mates Prado needed over 6 grand work done on an engine with less k's than mine even though he had it serviced at a Toyota dealership at regular intervals. My last Jeep however (A WG overland) did the ol dropped valve seat and would have cost about 5 grand to get things sorted.
Edit to add: my 96 XJ straight 6 already had well over 200,000 on it when I bought it. With no service records after about 120,000 from memory. It was a pure punt.
Thanks for this. I had not known that a 4x4 could be used for anything other than taking kids to school and doing the shopping!
HAHAHA 😂😂😂 Love your sense of humour.
@@AussieFourWheelers And thanks again for the video. I only know Baal Bone from the valley looking up and it was great to see the reverse.
No worries, glad you liked the video.
I was waiting for your upload for three days
Another great Vid. That WK never ceases to amaze me where it can go. Is the GU a 4.8?
Yes, the GU is a 4.8. Thanks for asking. Also thanks for watching. Glad you liked it.
Fantastic 👌👌
Thanks 👍
Hey guys. First of all awesome videos! Watching you for quite some time and just subbed. I wanted to ask you, which one would you say is better for off roading, the grand cherokee wk1 or the wk2 because I've noticed you have experience with both. Obviously both equipped with the QD-II, but the problem is that the QD-II in the wk1 had LSDs front and rear, and in the wk2 it has an LSD only in the rear. Is that noticable, and also how does it compare to have a solid rear axle in the wk1 with the independent suspention of the wk2?
Thank you so much for watching our videos and subbing 👍 IMO the WK is a more capable vehicles due to the solid rear and LSD in the front. The solid axle also makes lifting it 4 inches and above possible and easier. The WK2 uses traction control at the front together with the LSD in the rear and center, so not too bad. But the major downfall is the independent rear, which makes the WK2 not flexible at all. That also makes it hard for bigger lifts. Also the looks of the WK are "more rugged" than the slick WK2.
What kind of lift is the CRD running? Great videos!
4" Superlift. Thanks for watching 👍 Glad you liked it.
am impressed with the WK... how much lift? and tyre size?
Thanks bud 👍 It's 4" lift and 33s.
Great video buddy
Thank you for watching 👍 Glad you liked it.
+Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) Did you trade your HEMI for the CRD in here or is this a mates Jeep?
Mate's Jeep. I still have the Hemi 💪
Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) I've been thinking of switching to the Hemi, what are your thoughts CRD vs HEMI if they're both same spec interior etc?
You put me in the corner 😂 I love them both.
The massive hill climb use done at the 2 minute mark looks 1000x easier in the dry haha , it had been raining for 3 days straight and was raining that day when we went to go up there but decided to turn around it the bottom and go back to a camp site as it was just asking for trouble trying to do it in those conditions and I have a twin locked decked out 80 with good tyres haha (my brakes were full of mud and werent working either) .
This was a few weeks ago
Wouldnt mind doing it again in the dry
what lift is the patrol running?
A big one 😂
You guys were travelling north to south?
Yeah that's correct
Impressiv!!! Which Tires are you using?
Which vehicle?
Aussie Four Wheelers - Cherokee and Patrol
nice one.
Thanks 👍
Hey boys, how would a stock landcruiser with just 33's get on here, keen to go but unsure if a lift or lockers is needed?
Shouldn't be an issue. There's a bit of a steep rutty climb from the Wolgan Rd end, or the big rock at Baal Bone Gap from the other end. We've never had issues even with 31s (but locked), but we've seen people winching up it. It's best to go with another vehicle, not alone.
Thats the part I've been worried about, seen people having to winch it too, ok thanks mate!
QUADRO Drive?
Yes, Quadradrive 2.
Ever done a swaybar disconnect on the WK?
Yeah.
How much of a difference does it make?
Makes a difference for sure.
