Hello sir I had a doubt ....if question gives-: four resistances P,Q,R,S are connected in four arms of a bridge then the condition for balance will be ?...here we'll get P/Q=R/S or P/Q=S/R....? Because diagram isn't given so answers won't match If we draw different circuits .....also if we go according to the diagram given on textbook page 217 then answer will be P/Q=S/R whereas correct answer is given as P/Q=R/S .....so how to predict the answer?

Null point is for metre bridge as there is null current flowing through the galvanometer which is attached to jockey
For Kelvin's method we don't connect galvanometer to the jockey
When the jockey is not touching the circuit is still complete and there is a deflection in G on touching the jockey "balance pt" is obtained when the deflection on obtaining the balance pt = deflection when jockey was not touching wire and hence "deflection is balanced" so the term balance point
