- USCIS put out new version of the form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
In this video I go through it step-by-step, answering each question base on K1Visa or Fiancé Visa. It's very important that you fill it out correctly!

So we got married already. On our marriage certificate, it's still written there my maiden name.

Hello! Thanks for visiting my channel. I had the same issue that in my marriage certificate is written my maiden name. So when I filled out the forms for Adjustment Of Status packet, I added my husband's last name.
So always put N/A on all the blank space? Btw thank you this really helps

I have a question.... My wife is not in USA yet so i am planing to bring first time to state. When i fill this i 845 form whose information i have to fill whether mine or her ? I am confuse because on the form need many information about her arrival like i94 etc she never have those yet... so should i keep those blank...?
For the signature is it the signature that you used when your not marries yet or your new signature as married?
I used the old signature as I never change my signature.

You may type K1 Fiance Visa is fine.

Part 2, question number 2, if you selected family-based in question 1.a, so you should select "yes"
Hello, for the 485, you talk about the vaccination form that we submit. Do we submit the I-693 as part of the I-485 too?
I already did my full medical examination examination before leaving home country
When i tick the box to say i believe i only need to submit the vaccination form, it still says direct below that i and the surgeon need to fill out the rest
"The rest" would mean having to do a full medical, which has already happened and i believe they submit it directly to the USCIS

Hello! From all the documents for AOS (Current J1 visa holder), what do you consider most work to fill in and file? Because this does not look difficult, and I am leaning to doing it myself rather than a lawyer. Very easy case, getting married to a US citizen, two years together, no kids, both working, no bad history, hold a European nationality...

Hi, i have I-140 is approved and I am F1 student in US. My passport is going to expired by the time I would file my I-485. If I keep my student status, do I really need valid unexpired passport to file I-485 later on?

Hello! It should has a barcode. You can try to go to the UPS to print out there, that would help. I did once.

Hi . I loved your videos very informative but I have a questions regarding this form on part 6 "Information about your child" on our situation with my husband we don't have kids but he has kids from his ex marriage before . We read the "note" included the stepchildren or biological kids in our case we already married and his kids is automatically my stepchildren. Should I include them as my child here in my form? Thank you in advance with my long questions ☺☺☺
As far as I know yes. The form does say any children -:biological, legally adopted and stepchildren, whether born inside or outside the US, married or unmarried, living with you guys or not. So yes!

Hi 👋 I have question regarding on PART 6 of Form I-485 indicating about children. In my case my husband have 3 kids and they’re consider my stepchildren , should i include them on the Form? the 3 of them? Thank you 😊
The form does say any children : biological, legally adopted and stepchildren, whether born inside or outside the US, married or unmarried, living with you guys or not. So yes! You need to include them on the form.

I am US citizen just marry with F1 visa he finished school but he is out of status and he visa is not expire yet.
For #61. it ask about public charge. Is for petitioner or beneficiary?
For #62. What if you use joint sponsor should we count in with household size or just 2 of us. I don’t live with joint sponsor.
#61 : The question is for beneficiary which is a non US Citizen.
#62 : you will see in the form of instructions that you will count the following people as part of your household. You might take a look at this link below, that is on page 8. www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-485instr.pdf
it sounds like only two of you as your household size
Count how many people live in the same roof, that would be your household size.
What if my wife can’t get access to her vaccinations when she was a baby
Do I need to file the change of adjustment before my K1 visa expires?
No rush, but apply sooner is better even though the K1 Visa already expired. I submitted my AOS 2 months after my K-1 Visa expired. This is because lots preparation.
What about the fees?

Hello! Part 5 page 7 is asking about your current marriage (American Spouse), & page 8 is about your prior spouse if you have been married before.

Are you filing this form for your wife who has K1 Visa? I knew some people don't change their name. It would be fine, so they just use their full name as their passport name.
