What a beautiful sound !!! It is exciting to hear this new generation of well trained singers . I have encountered young singers who are told by agents that the have to sing big for Verdi it is a shame and a nonsense . We want to hear beautiful voices , singers singing within the ability of the voice as here .
Pati is exceptional; gorgeous tone, great technique, and I don't think I've ever seen another singer with such a perfectly relaxed jaw. I hope he doesn't get pushed into heavier roles too. I just don't get the "heavier is better" thing that seems to be all the rage now. I agree that we want to hear beautiful voices, not singers screaming and straining to turn their voices into something they were never meant to be. It's not just that they go after heavier roles, they also try to sing out of their vocal category. Baritone, Erwin Schrott, who I heard live back when he was singing roles like Figaro and had a lovely voice, has now decided that he's a bass, and has branched out into roles like Attila. Can't get down to the bottom of the lower register of the bass range, at least not with any volume? Just have the orchestra literally play louder to cover it. This just isn't good singing. Voices come in a wide range of vocal categories and sub categories within the categories. Why not sing what suits the voice best?
Effortless!! Beautiful! I have been hunting all over the internet for your singing as well as Sol3mio! Please come to America!! Love your smile, it lights up your face!
Listened to him sing this last night in NZ Opera's production of "The Elixir of Love". Totally compelling, moving and exquisite. Brought the house down.
When I first saw this excellent tenor, I thought he was a member of the All Blacks... he looks so like a fearsome rugby prop forward. But... his voice is beautiful. I think of Kiri te Kanawa who also came from NZ and settled mainly here in the UK. I heard her often, and loved her voice.
si se lo tomara en serio, podria ser el tenor lirico de referencia para los proximos veinte años..........pero no estoy seguro de que vaya muy en serio
Molto Bravo! I just wish he pronounced "chieDO" and not "chieRO". I know why he does this (being a tenor, I do it too), but the ideal is to actually close the consonant rather than "gloss over" it.
To hear how this should be sung, listen to Jussi Bjorling singing this. No slurring, soft palette lifted, Bjorling is just perfect on this . OOPS, he must be careful not to sing flat.
@@poning8184 why wouldnt you? this guy isnt young hes like 30 lol and maybe the reason we don't have anymore bjorlings or pavarottis or corellis is because people don't compare them to young singers as much. You might think that hiding the truth from these young singers is a good thing but I think it does nothing but give them false hope and give us 2nd rate singers.
i am sorry, i really would like to say something positive about this young singer, but what are you people listening to???? the tone doesn't flow at all, it's all still bottled up in the back of the mouth, it's unattractive ... it's pretty bad. he's got lots of work to do.
Straordinario bravissimo👍👍👍
Gorgeous tenor voice.
I had the chance to hear him singing this same aria this year at Opéra Bastille: what a performance! A truly impressive artist.
What a voice and such talent!
Et cette JOIE DE CHANTER !
Ce sourire ÉCLATANT !
Amina EDRIS a de la chance ! 🥰

Une immense voix et un homme tellement généreux, sympathique . Excellents souvenirs des moments partagés à Rouen 😊
Una pequeña question ¿est ce qu'on pourrait changer son prénom ?

His Voice Sounds Like Pavarotti
The Samoan Pavarotti!

.
No
only if you do not know what Pavarotti sounded like.
lol, not even close.....
calante da morire veramente .
questo ragazzo con la sua intonazione precaria e' semplicemente insopportabile durante tutta l'aria .
Pavarotti est ressuscité

C'mon, these are young singers in a competition. You are comparing him to Bjorling?

High larynx and nasal voice
Bello colore di voce ,ma voce con vibrato largo non bello suoni aperti talvolta ,meriterebbe una tecnica migliore

Can you sing like that?
You're bloody tone deaf that's what it is
