Praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality, Nadine Sierra is being hailed as one of the most promising, young talents in opera today. She was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award by the Metropolitan Opera. Having made a string of successful debuts at the Met, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra national de Paris, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world. On August 24th, 2018, her debut album, There’s a Place for Us, was released under the Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels.

What a stunning voice, and even better is the way she sings! She has a graceful and expressive presence, a nuanced phrasing and commands all the requirements of the Bel Canto style and its technical challenges. This is an impeccable performance. Sierra a couple of years ago already seemd to be one of the most promising sopranos of the new generation, and she confirms this impression yet again. She is amazing and only 25 year old!

What a BEAUTIFUL performance! Half of the performance was sung from her heart...and it showed! She portrayed the character so well, knowing the foreign language did not matter. I knew what she was expressing. Congratulations to Nadine for her recent performances at at both the Met and Scala! Wow! only 28 years old! I thought I saw a tear on her face as she finished.A rare talent! Wow just Wow!!!!!!
Ah, what a delight. A real voice, not a whistle-voiced soprano. There's resin in that gorgeous sound plus musicality. And let's not forget how fabulous looking she is. See you at the Met, Nadine Sierra.
Marly Harris did you see her? I just found out about her last December. It was too late for me to see her in the Marriage of Figaro. Had plans on seeing her spring of 2019 singing Gilda in Rigotello. Don't know if she'll be recovered by then...dont care, just as long as she takes enough time off to fully recover. I think I annoy her sometimes because we don't live far from each other in Florida. I keep asking her to have a coffee and catch a sunrise hahaha! Fat chance, but hey, if you don't ask, you'll never know 😁

L'engagement musical est présent et si le rubato par moments est trop prononcé la construction de l'air se tient bien, une des grandes difficultés de Bellini. Le contrôle du souffle, nécessaire pour aller jusqu'au bout des phrases, est énorme et lui offre un potentiel expressif exceptionnel.
Non sono così tanto severo come certi membri italiani qui, anche se manca da lei una certa italianità. Però è giovane e speriamo che possa ancora migliorare la sua dote canora.
mi creda,non è così facile di cambiare la tecnica e la vocalità per arrivare allo stile belliniano vero e alla vocalità adatta alla sua arte meravigliosa.
mi creda,ho una certa esperienza nella materia...
è ovvio che la vocalità di questa ragazzina è lontano dalla vocalità belliniana vera.
