I'm amazed at how drivers just turn on their indicator, overtake & just go on about their lives & drive away. That was a serious accident! Stop, find out if someone has called an ambulance & if not call one. Don’t just drive off!!! You might be able to help somehow!

The driver that caused the crash = never hit the brake, never took their foot off the gas. Was the driver distracted, asleep, medical emergency, or ... ?
I am a critical care MD, some years ago a Subaru crash a Volvo, it was a frontal accident. The volvo's driver went to the emergency and was discharge home, the Subaru driver enter to the ICU.
But the rear passenger would be badly injured or likely dead. Honestly the outcome is just like any other mainstream car like nissan, ford... or even worse
@@zenadrian4678 The IIHS, NCAP, NHTSA, and no car company does a rear end crash testing that I know of, except for Volvo.. Volvo does do rear-end crash testing. The crumple zone worked as planned on the XC40, and the rear tire seems to be untouched, so I'll bet the second row occupants were safe.
I doubt it, Volvos have numerous safety features for rear-end collisions. One being anti-whiplash seats. Since the late '90s Volvos have had WHIPS (whiplash protection system) reducing head and neck injuries by over 50%.

The IIHS does not do rear-end crash testing either. But Volvo does do rear-end crash testing. I don't think anybody else does. Yeah, the damage looks bad, but if you look at the side of the XC40 the intrusion doesn't that bad. I think the second row was in good shape. ... Yeah the damage "looks" bad from the outside, but you really can't tell by looking at the outside. I man the XC40 looks badly damage from aa lot a crash testing, but still gets very high marks from crash testing agencies.
The Volvo has crumple zones in the rear specifically designed for this type of collision. The crumple zones worked as designed. The cargo area was severely damage. But look closely at the rear passenger area interior and see it was undamaged.
when i was comming back from vacaion(trip trough germany and austria), we stuck in real bad traffic on slovenian crossboard. we were there approx 3 hours, weather was extreme 45°C. Some poland dude with his familly had issues with his toyota rav4 (cought on fire), from 4 lines and 50+cars in that small area i was the only one who helped hi., pushed away his car to parking spot. so yeah so so sad people dont give a shit anymore

The Volvo protected it's occupants, the passenger cage is unscathed. The appearance of the body after the crash reflects how well the Volvo crumple areas absorbed the energy of the impact. When a vehicle's body appears to have little damage post collision that means the passengers absorbed the energy of the impact. Better (and less costly) to have completely crushed crumple zones than broken bones or damaged internal organs.

@@DariusDrive I've driven a couple XC40s and i think they're okay cars, i just think they feel a lot cheaper than they are. I drive a 2016 V60 D6 and that just feels like a much better quality product than the XC40.

T牌的acc真的領教過了，上回試乘時還是由業務幫我設定好跟車，然後眼看著車距越來越近也沒減速跡象，直到快撞上前車也沒作動，嚇得副駕的業務急忙喊煞車…，還好急煞的住沒撞上，一次就嚇到了，所以後來就沒買他們家的車了…
