Wow, you had a lot of people working on the boat. The nice part is how fast things get done when you have all that talent available. Oh, one thing to do before you leave. If you have not already done it, start your engine and let it run for about 15 minutes, that should get it to normal operating temperature. Then check to see if everything that was installed is working properly. Also rev the engine a few times to check the water pressure on the work performed and any oil leaks. I am sure that you do not want to be out sailing and find out that there is an engine issue. Great video!
The great folk at Marsden Cove and Whangarei Marine were fantastic around Covid times helping fix my sons Raven 28 engine gearbox and other stuff…you’re at the right place.
Welcome to NZ! Hope you’re enjoying our friendly ways and springtime! Hope you get down here to the coromandel, it’s really beautiful, mind you most of NZ is really beautiful! ❤
finely a sailor with positive mind.. atitude. most of sailing in u tube are negative.they don't know.. and make videos utube. but you ..know..nice to share your trip
Good stuff, hopefully see you on the water soon, Australia? Like to see a video of the finished jobs, particularly the interior :) Good luck until next time :)
It must be so satisfying to have everything repaired and fixed up on the boat! What a lovely hike. New Zealand nature and the Kiwi people are wonderful, aren't they? I'm busy working on projects on my own sailboat this winter (northern hemisphere) to get ready for sailing in spring. Thank you for sharing!
Great you give some love to the boat. I guess you are not just getting help but you are paying professionals to do the jobs which saves time. Sometimes it is wiser to pay your self out of projects and have them done also professionally. Good you are following and learning as well. All the best.
Wow you are having major maintenance done on yacht, good to see you will be safe for your next leg. Where will you have Christmas? Thank for sharing. Merry Christmas
A whole crew ! Wow it’s quite the operation. Mostly I see budget boaters here asking for help financially and the you tube production stuff. If I didn’t swear so f🤬cking much and allow my Dutch opinions to come out so easily ….. I might be able to you tube too 😂 Btw that mechanic never cussed once I’ve never in my 50 years of being a mechanic heard such a thing wtf dude hit your finger or something 😂 Good for you keeping her in good shape and safe for a safe return to your family ❤
Great to see that you got so much work done all together in the one spot in Whangarei. That might give you more time to enjoy the Hauraki Gulf rather than having to be held up around Auckland city.
You’ve gone such a distance and the chance of you ever being there again is small. So we’d say, take your time, look, learn and enjoy. Go your own way, don’t worry about what others are doing. And remember when it’s necessary you’re home in 24 hours.
Dutch to Kiwi English is more of a challenge with the technical stuff eh! No wonder you had trouble with that boom vang; it looks way too flimsy for a yacht of your size. It is not much more substantial than I had on my sailing dinghy! I hope they are going to upgrade it. Just a side issue - are you aware of how many people of Dutch origin make up our Kiwi population? People from the Netherlands had a special immigration category for many years, largely based on similar values and willingness to work hard. I got to see how many there are when Queen Beatrix came here in 1992 for the tercentenary of Abel Tasman's fatal encounter with Māori in 1642. So many excited Dutch people were there and eager to get up close to the Queen we had to ask them to sit down so the rest of us could see! The Queen got to paddle a waka ( she was a better paddler than her Dutch navy escorting officer!).
Wow, the Riggers, TC Marine boat people, Engine mechanic, Electrician, they all come to repair your boat, you must be full of money ! I had my boat for almost 40 years, and had never anybody else working on it, exept me ! Because, if anything goes bad, when you' re out at sea, you can repair it yourself ! Sailing out to the big ocean means to be independent from everything and everybody, outthere, nobody is going to help you, you must be able, to do everything by yourself, that is the beauty of sailing !
Pleased you are enjoying our lovely country here in NZ
I love the country and the people!

Nice video again!

Great video
🙏
To make the slides smoother you first could go for a little Teflon spray every now and then. Works for me.
Good luck with the kiwi’s
Thanks. On my way in the Pacific I couldn't buy it. But now in NZ I already did.

Bonjour, c'est dommage de ne plus avoir de sous titres ???
Damned right 😢
I would love to do that, but simply can't find the time. Making video's is a lot of work.

Dank Alfred. Ik voel me behoorlijk los van Europa en de politiek

A bit rude mate 😢
There's nothing wrong with paying a pro to do a job properly while you watch and learn
Having pro's around me I feel very blessed.
