    to all the people who say 'the title makes it look like she regrets she had a baby' listen, pregnancy isn't magical, soft, perfect etc...It's hard, painful, your body changes and that’s the reality.

    • @allair9403
      @allair9403 5 лет назад +66

      Yeah I see a lot of comments saying that "she should've used a more positive title" like why would she when she's talking about something negative. Pregnancy isn't always pretty.

      Livi Holland I agree with the first comment- it takes at least 6 months for your body to bounce back- also that you are nursing helps as it takes the fat from everywhere to create enough for Flynn to get all that he needs. We are most critical of ourselves after the birth of our boys- it stretches the tummy that much more in the front.
      Get out for lots of walks with Flynn ( and the dogs.) it will go. And get back to healthy eating. (And still allow for an occasional beer( helps milk production)

    Those red lines or veins are stretch marks that appear when you body grows a large amout in a short time.. it's common to people going through puberty and having growths in that area.. it's also common to men who exercise and their muscle's grow a large amount.. it's normal don't worry

      And they fade!

    • @Johnny-ci8mw
      @Johnny-ci8mw 5 лет назад +11

      They are actually just veins. When women are pregnant there is an increase of blood volume making veins in certain areas of the body more visible, and they stay that way longer if she breastfeeds. They do go away over time. Yes, she probably does have stretch marks on her skin that grew quickly, but what she was explaining is just veins caused by increased blood volume and suction.

    Hi everyone, I'm a girl, and in school we have the pregnancy/baby unit in health, we were not told anything about what happens to your body after pregnancy I think that is one of the many flaws about our school system, this video has been very helpful to inform me and hopefully other people about what happens after pregnancy . I find it sad that women have not felt comfortable to talk openly about this or have not been heard when speaking up about this, I admire Colleen for feeling okay to talk about this. I am really happy to know that postpartum pregnancy is becoming more acceptable to talk about.

      Well, I think the expectation and hope is that from the unit, they won't be having lots of teen mums, therefore explaining post-partum would be a bit unnecessary with that expectation, it could generally wait until post-partum or once you are pregnant, and that's something you would/could talk to a specialist/doctor/obstetrician about in due time

    Congratulations on your newborn, you look fantastic. As a family doctor I see a lot of post-partum mummies and I can vouch that 80-90% of women have not gone back to their pre pregnancy body by week 6. It’s entirely normal to have some skin stretching following pregnancy and this should hopefully settle over the next few months. My most important advice is to continue gentle exercises whilst maintaining your mental health as being a new mum is a strain both physically and mentally. Wishing you all the very best.

      Jemma J it's all subjective. To you it looks amazing because you are used to looking at stretch marks. To her she is comparing her body post 2 months baby to her body pre pregnancy. That's not amazing even though the weight loss is pretty remarkable. She's so new to this she doesn't realize it takes more than 2 months and it takes an exercise routine for that area. Can't just wake up skinny and young and tight like a lot of pre baby women do.

      When I was around 15, I suddenly developed hips..... and stretch marks came with them.
      I was slender, fit, etc..... and yet: stretch marks.
      Some times nature just screws you over a bit.
      You work with what you got, not focus so much on what cannot be helped and enjoy the benefits: I’v never had acne issues, yaaaaay.

    is it just me or does she look lowkey more beautiful after pregnancy? not to be like, "oh no like omg ur so pretty hehe!" no like she actually look so much more healthier and her thighs make her have that bomb hourglass figure. And her stomach looks like it will keep getting better.

    To all the 13 and 14-year-old kids watching this video and asking if they "weigh too much" or "if its bad that I am x pounds" please, please remember that you are a young teen! Your body is still growing, and going through puberty and that is okay! Colleen is in her 30's and fully grown, so of course, her body is going to look different! That is not a bad thing. Your body is going to look different at 16 then it does now, and your body at 21 will look different than at 16! That is normal! Please do not let this video fool you into thinking that gaining or losing weight is a bad thing. It is so normal. Take care of yourselves, treat yourself with kindness and compassion, that is more important than how much you weigh.

People keep making me think that I am TOO BIIG and actually all bodies aren't beautiful even though "fat" people are beatiful. I think that everyone can be beatiful even though there bodies are not beatiful

      A girl in my community had an extremely bad complication when delivering her baby and she should have died, she was in a coma for a month, she’ll have to relearn so much, her mental capacity will probably be never back to what it was and she will never fully heal. THAT IS A BODY RUINED BY PREGNANCY. Colleen’s body beautiful before and even more beautiful after.
