I was planning to wash all the dirt off of it but after about 30 minutes I decided that would’ve taken all day Very cool looking stump Thanks for watching
Great idea! I've got a cedar stump that I've been saving to do the same thing with. I'm thinking about leaving a rope attached to it when I dump it then go to the other side of the pond and pull it to the middle.
Well, this is a first. I've never seen anyone pressure wash a stump before! I love playing in the dirt and mud, but it's usually involving a tractor! I guess there's always something new to play with. I've got a pressure washer and a huge oak stump. I may give it a try. A new take on opening the fire hydrant on a hot summer's day! Brock's videos are like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get. Keep up the good work!
Power wash that stump and turn it upside down. Put a glass top on it. I've done it a few times. Really cool outcome. Especially if they have rotted some.
If you fish in that pond the stump will cause a lot of snags. Cover is good, but rocks snag less. Also live Christmas trees work well because the limbs give and all point outward so lures will be more likely to break free.
Great video! But if the skid steer can’t pick it up with the grapple, try the forks, if it still can’t pick it up then it weighs more then 8000 pounds, I have a 325g and it can pick up 7400 max
I was thinking about switching to the forks before the stump broke It has to be that heavy because it was lifting the back of the machine. Also part of it was how far the weight stuck out in front
@@RockhillfarmYT It sure would have. I don't think that they float to good. Now if you have to move that you have to get a huge crane to put it in a different place
There was a giant stump sitting in our wood pile. I thought it could be cut up and used as firewood a year or so ago. The tree it came from fell over in a storm a long time ago & had been sitting where it lay till I bought a chainsaw & tractor. I gave up on the idea of cutting it up last Friday so I dragged it over with my tractor to our burn area. Once the stump started burning it given us two days of entertainment. These bit of wood are too big & heavy for me to handle.
My man- stop turning on your chain brake while idling. It's very hard on your saw. I've seen countless saws in my shop with melted clutches amd cases from folks idling with the chain brake on.
@@RockhillfarmYT me too, until i saw the absolute MASSACRE inside a dude's brand new saw. It's super smart to start it with the chain brake when you're running a long bar, but resist the urge after it's running. It'll save you a ton in the long run.
I'm in rural fire brigade, our training is you build a reflex to always have the chain brake on when not actually cutting. Major safety factor (we're very big on safety). If you listen you should hear that the idle note doesn't change when you put the brake on/off, indicating there is no drag, so no wear to the clutch. If the engine revs drop when you put the chain brake on then your idle speed needs adjusting lower. If the engine won't idle at a low enough speed then the carby needs attention.

💥 what did the tree say to the chainsaw?
Nothing, it was stumped! 😂😂
*Keep on tractoring!*
I like it

I was thinking the same thing Brock, Glad you decided to throw it in the pond.👍
Thanks

I said I was going to do that and then when I got over there I just dumped it in
I'm glad you are no longer stumped as to what you will do with it!
Yes sir. I’m unstumped
Hey Brock. Another classic. As always enjoyed the video. Keep it up.
Thanks
The woodworker in me just cried a little when you tossed that in the pond. 😢
Sorry. I tried to think of a way to use it
I am looking at getting a Saw mill to handle the lumber I cut down

I glad that you didn't put your loader in the pond with the stump.
Yeah, that would’ve been a bad day

Yeah. It was a lot heavier than I would have believed. Probably not worth fighting with
Get some grass carp
I think I will, although people have told me they won’t eat the lilies
What is the logic in throwing a big stump into a pond? I cant think of a good reason...enlighten me!!!!
Fish habitat
Yes, ambush fish like bass love structure. ❤️
I would not have thought of that but other people did and the fish do need structure
Umm, if you can, why would you not? 🤷♂️😉
Also out of sight, out of mind.

I always thought you should have the break on anytime the chain is not moving

Are you sure that they were not revving it with the brake on? Probably would not have admitted to that
