didn't watch it yet, but this is the only channel which I can trust the title. when it says how to make collage Animation, 100% you'll learn how to make it.
Love this tutorial! Watching a cool project come together is great in itself. But the real value of this video is in watching the fast, efficient, organized workflow of a highly skilled editor. I learned a ton.
This is amazing, thank you for walking us through the process! How you made everything look so harmonious and just knew what to add next is pretty incredible
I think you're one of the best video editors that i've encounter on RUclips, keep it up we love your work and we love your courses pretty creative and has alot of good quality informations, thanks alot for sharing your knowledge with us ❤
This is the only channel that provide us pro level content. Otherwise whole Yotube throwing us same stupid garbage. would you please make a video on earning? I mean earning from selling my projects.
thanks for making these man! super helpful. Your teaching style and pacing is perfect. Ive already implemented things ive learned from you to projects im working on.
Collage animation is about cutting up, scanning in, and then animating like crazy, color correction, voila. I have done a lot of collage animation before
I'm actually watching this to create a collage for an upcoming clubs day for my club, so thank you, also your channel has a great balance between quality and quantity and I know you'll be getting Millions of subscribers one day
Can you make a tutorial on how we can make the fold animation like the one you made on the cameras images and on the shot you write the title of every stage of the animation
Cannot wait to try this! You are an amazing artist and you're inspiring me to pursue animation more. Will most definitely try more of your tutorials soon 🙏🏼
Thank you for your wonderful videos. I hope you add the work files in the description box so that I can apply the work with you to all of your videos. Thank you.💖🙏🙏💪
amazing!! thank you' i love this tutorial!! how did you make the paper crumple reveal with the cameras it's the beginning of the sequence (i see you used photoshop too?)
How good was this tutorial!!! Like mind blowing to see each of his tutorial. Can someone tell me how did he add different wiggle to every letter in his chapter intros??? Like the "First scene" "last scene". I couldn't understand that.
Add a position animator to the text -> add a wiggly selector -> play around with the position to get a subtle look -> add a random() expression to the random seed
yo' great tutorial, just one thing (so far) on 14:24, why did you cut the layer, then duplicated, then delete? You can just trim the later with Alt + ] and avoid the extra steps (i can't imagine how that is with a more intricate design btw where did you get the crumpled paper images? Did you make them yourself? They looked great
Thank you! Honestly just didn’t know that shortcut back then lol And yes I made the crumpled paper myself. Just printed out the assets and then crumpled them and took pictures of it. More tedious but gives a better result
Great tutorial! Can you reshare the halftone plugin you used? The link just takes you to a monthly subscription with no descriptors of a bcc halftone effect
Here is a link that talks more about it! It is a part of a bundle so you can’t get it as a standalone effect borisfx.com/documentation/continuum/bcc-halftone/
Thank you! It's definitely a fun style to work with! It depends honestly. Some projects may be hourly some a flat fee. For something this short/simple I'd probably go somewhere between $500-$1000
Thank you! I'm using this tutorial as apart of my Video Production Exam. One question though, how do I import the text (Evolution of Cameras) directly from Illustrator to After Effects?
There are few ways of doing this. I use overlord, which is a paid plugin but a huge timesaver. Otherwise you can save it to your asset library, import ai files directly etc
@@mapalThank you so much! I got a 100% on my exam thanks to this tutorial. My only problem or issue I had was the newspaper in the text part but I figured it out and fixed it. Thank you.
bro pls make a roadmap for After effects newbies - if my goal is to create collage animations, where should i start? ur videos are great but are these the only thigns i need to learn or do i need to do any After effect course before ur videos
Everything you need to know is available on RUclips for free. There are a lot of great beginner videos that cover the basics of navigating after effects. I’d recommend those. My videos are my more intermediate. I hope to show how different effects can be used in different scenarios. You don’t need to know every effect in the app you just need to know when to use what and how to use them
Your videos are great bro, but at least put the assets in a drive so begginers can also follow you! instead of go out and search for the assets by themselves
hi!. I have just started learning after effects. I love your tutorials but I get left behind, they are kind of a little bit advanced for me. what level of after effects should I learn first so that I can then follow your tutorial. Thanks 😀
I think the biggest thing is getting comfortable in the basics of after effects. Get comfortable navigating the app for sure. I’m working on a basics video so hopefully that’ll help out too
A 45 mins of small details we need this type of tuts back on RUclips thanks man

Amazing!!! Thank you very much! 🙂👍
amazing!! thank you' i love this tutorial!! how did you make the paper crumple reveal with the cameras it's the beginning of the sequence (i see you used photoshop too?)
Printed out the photos, cut it up, crumbled it and took photos of it, then removed the background in photoshop. I show it in my Ali Abdaal video

Hey Mapal, nice tutorial. What fonts did you use for "The Evolution of Camera"?
Helvetica neue for “the evolution of” and obviously variable for “cameras”
My man! Beatiful job. Could you make. a video on how to create and animate a documentary style timeline.
Love this!

great work! I really appreciate your effort thanks!
How did you make this dots in the background?
It’s just an overlay texture. I scanned a dot grid paper I had laying around

hey mapal ! great video learned alot can i ask you how did you do that subtitles in the start of the video ?
Not sure I know what subtitles you’re referring to?
@@mapal the subtitles that are in the start like "the idea" one.
The techniques are similar to what is shown in the tutorial itself actually
Maybe my question is gonna look stupid or wrong.... But what's vox and magnatesmedia main editing style called ?
I loved it! Gonna make a job with this style very soon :D
how much would you charge for an animation like this one?
Thank you! It's definitely a fun style to work with! It depends honestly. Some projects may be hourly some a flat fee. For something this short/simple I'd probably go somewhere between $500-$1000

You do really cool stuff, but sometimes you speed up so much it's hard to keep up. A little slower)) you're the best at collage techniques.
Awesome work! Where can I get the assets and materials used in the tutorial? Thanks so much!
Thank you! Project file is available on my Patreon!
