Thanks for your question, Michael. Your instrument may just need a cleaning, but it also may be damaged in some way. If you are not experienced with instrument repair, your best option would be to take it to a qualified repair person for a thorough diagnosis and fix.

Clarinet Lover you prob know by now but the pads are prob dirty and something sticky like food residue could be on the hole/pad

When the two lower pads of my clarinet are pushed down, they will not release by themselves, the pads get stuck in the down position so i have to physically pull them up to have them come up in the normal position. When I have looked at other videos, and played my clarinet to try and make it sound like what they are playing when they play like say a B my clarinet sounds much lower that theirs do

My clarinet does not have the rod that he is showing in 4:43. The rod is sideways and doesn't Come off of the clarinet without taking out any other parts. What am I supposed to do then?

I noticed that when I tap my Selmer clarinet bell the end ring seems loose, how can I tighten that ring around the bottom of the bell?

Put an orange peel (Not a whole orange) in the case. It should work just fine.

I solved the problem by 'painting' a very thin layer of transparent nail polish around the bottom ring of the bell. It is able to 'breathe' but no longer loose.

Missing/broken/unhooked spring. If it's broken or missing, you can't fix it on your own. Only a tech can.

Shoot the cameraman! There is so much movement we cannot see what he is doing.

It's not so much the camera man, it's the Master Sargent who keeps moving the instrument around when he's supposed to be showing a close up of a small part. Hold it still and let us see what you are talking about!
