In years to come things like this will be looked at by generations who can only imagine what covid did to our way of life. As we look back at the celebrations after world war 2 was won. I think this (and football crowd singing) demonstrate that the majority of people can hold a tune, as they drown out those who can't. If there's no band or recording to follow though, people who can't keep time dictate the rests, as they can't judge how long to take between lines and verses and everyone else falls into line. This happens during church services.

Make no mistake, the crowd was there to see Greenday, and this was part of the ten minute build up waiting to see Billy Joe and the boys mount the stage.
So great. Excellent camera work with the steady slow pan across the crowd too. I also love how after the guitar solo, the stage lighting was going along with the music in sync with the energy of the crowd. Kudos to the lighting tech(s)...
