  • This is one of those mini projects which I use existing old parts that I have along with new tools to learn about those new tools a little bit better. I recently bought this SWAG off road finger brake and this is a simple and short metal brake project to re-purpose my old Prinsu Top Rack as a mini bed rack. What you guys think about this mini project? I'm sure you guys have many parts that you've re-purposed. Let me know some of your repurposed projects!

That's a great way to repurpose accessories you don't use anymore! I think if you add some gussets to your bracket design, they will keep from bending longer. Keep those 2nd gen mods flowing!!

Thanks for the input, bro. That's a good idea and you'll definitely see how this idea evolves. Thanks for watching!

I did something similar to my 2gen. I used electrical rails from HD and mounted them almost flush with the bed and bolted a rifle case for storage.

Hay Karl what’s up. Iv been working on my Tacoma just got the rear brakes finished. While working on the first one I was wondering how would Karl do this spring.
Next is the valve cover gasket’s. Then next will be the timing belt.

Those springs are a bit of a pain. I used locking needle nose pliers to get a good grip on them. Good luck with the rest of the work and thanks for watching!
