    When you want to use cornstarch to thicken a pot of something, best practice is to put the dry corn starch in a cup or a little bowl and then add a little bit of liquid - maybe the liquid from your pot or some water. Stir it up and add to the dish your are thickening to avoid lumps.

      Yes, it’s called a slurry

      It also should be cold liquid added to cornstarch, hot for flour slurry.

    I am new here and I most say that as a working mom, Making meals can be very difficult sometimes. I love all this meals are quick to make and I am getting used to pre making meals that requires reheat in the microwave or cook less than 1 hour.
    I wish I can have the time and good eaters where I can enjoy making different types of meals and super fresh.
    Sometimes I wonder how your kiddos can eat everything you cook or your husband. My husband is 100% american, he always wants to eat American traditional meals a different than ME, I can try different cultures cuisine and stick to the ones I like the most. Thanks

    Looks like a good recipe, but not a ONE pot the way you cooked it. ONE Pot means just that. Not using the insta-pot, the 4 qt pot, the colander, and then putting it in a casserole dish. You could have cut up the raw chicken, layered everything in the casserole including the broccoli baked it on 375 for 45 minutes and topped it with cheese for the last 10 minutes and it would have been a true one pot casserole.

    • @kendraphillips5027
      @kendraphillips5027 4 года назад

      My thinking exactly. If I’m making a casserole, it’s all getting cooked in the oven, not precooking each ingredient then warming in the oven.
