Great side by side comparison. After doing much homework I went with the GC500 because of the distance of the remote, and curing the issue of line of sight. Those two features, as well as cost made the ICOTEC my new electronic caller.
icotec now has a GC350 $125 and a GC500 $175. They are both can be programed like the Foxpro and still with a 300 yard range. They are real nice calls for the money and come with WT calls same as Foxpro.
Great vid. Per usual I do everything ass backwards lol and I bought the Icotec GC300 call at Cabella's yesterday and today it dawned on me to check for reviews to see if I want to keep it or not. I was a little suspect that this thing would really work at 300 yards but that is very impressive that it actually does. Like you I ordinarily keep it inward of 65 yards or closer anyway..100 yards max. I love your dog, lol..he's like "WHO are you TALKING to Daddy!!?" lol so cute! :-)
NB Love your Yellow Lab in the Back there, I Bought an ICOTEc 300 Last year , but did not get the time to get it into the Coyote Woods , But this year it will be out there, Trying it out, Seems Good for the Price & The sounds are nice & clear also, Thanks for sharing your video enjoyed it .
We used a foxpro Shockwave during a contest, it worked fine, we just went through ALOT of batteries in a day and a half(2 big packs from Sam'sClub). And we had to keep it within 30 yards or it wouldn't work. The outside temperature was between 5°&15°.
Are you related to Ricky from The Trailer Park Boys? Thanks for the review. I have the FoxPro but have never used the icotech. Impressive range on that unit but why on earth would I want to try to call a Yote' in to 300 yards? I want him inside 100 yards if I can. Defeats the purpose of a caller to me. Which machine calls more dogs?
Just wanted to add an update... I have the ICOTEC 350... It works great... Got it on Amazon for $130.00... You can also get the AD400 Attachable Electronic Predator Decoy for another $50.00 on Amazon... Total investment of $180.00 delivered... I have not used it for hunting yet, but it will play any MP3 file that is 16 bit or less... We do a Halloween haunted hay ride at a friends campground... I was able to download free Halloween sounds and put them on the ICOTEC 350... We played and changed up the various recording from a good distance... I'm not familiar with the FOXPRO at all... This is my first attempt at using electronic game calls, but I'm very impressed with the sound, and functions of the ICOTEC 350... Thanks for your video... I had not tested it for ranges yet, but feel confident based on your video that it will work...
Thanks for posting this. I had decided on the Foxpro Wildfire 2 until I saw your video. Have you killed any coyotes using the Icotech G C 300? I want to buy a caller soon and would appreciate any feedback you can give. I am new to coyote hunting.
I'm just starting and I got an Icotech GC300 2nd gen. Did you ever kill dogs with the icotech gc300? I ask, as I've yet to call out a coyote with this after about 10-12 times out already.
A lot of us hunt more than just coyotes. The Icotec has deer, elk, goose crow, raccoon, etc, calling sounds. Plus every Icotec sound in their library is free.
I Put in Regular AA Alkaline Batteries in mine & Not any Lithium ones , Except for the Remote Which says it uses a C23 Lithium type Battery in it., They suggest in the Colder Weather to use AA LITHIUM ION Batteries, they are suppose to last much Longer, But they are Very Expensive, I just carry,Regular AA's with me to change off if they start to run Low etc.
Ok here's my beef with ecotect. If u think 12 sounds enough u dont hunt many species. Just for cats say 6 sounds. Fox 6 coyotes say 6 . Crows 4 . An many more wolf geese an more . 12 sounds ain't near enough. An I cant eve here it at 300 yards . I'll stick with foxpro all day .an made in America so probably last a lot longer .
Icotec units holds just as many sounds as the foxpro. He is saying that he doesn't understand why anyone needs 200 sounds. Plus, Icotec sounds are all free. Even the new ones they come out with each year. I have the Outlaw and the X24 and love them both, but the Icotec is my go to
You tested the FoxPro at 200 yrds and didn't check volume level, but you did check it at 100 yrds and it worked, but shouldn't you check the FoxPro at 200 again to see if wasn't a volume setting problem? just saying...
Try wildlife technologies, I have used both and the wildlife is a much better call for real sound and volume. I have been calling dogs for 30 years, wild life is the best call going..
Mike Jones Exactly what I was going to comment. Fox pro likes to play big box store game...rip off unless they hosing ya, and ico tec out to make competitive superior product that's affordable on the net.
Why in the world would you care if a remote worked at HUNDREDS of yards? The idea is to call animals close to you for an easier shot, not hundreds of yards away.
The 300 yards remote range shows the power of the receiver. This kind of power helps in not needing a clear line of sight like the shorter range remotes. Grass or other debris can block the remote signal on the foxpro. I can put my Icotec on the back side of a building and it operates flawlessly. My X24 won't even if it's 30 yards away

How was that e call after owing it thinking of buying 1 tired of for pro
@@mikequyl8754 is this meant to be the English language
@@FYMM69 I think it was this. How was the e-call after owning it? Thinking of buying one. Tired of Fox Pro. LOL.

Great review. Hoping to get out after coyotes this winter for the first time in the Fredericton area.
Great Review. Literally went from this page to Feebay and bought the GC350. (programmable) Thanks, you helped me make up my mind.
I love Yellow Labs & your dog looks like a nice one as a Pet etc. Thanks for sharing etc.
Good review. Just bought ISO Tec 300 prior to seeing this. Looking forward to results

I have the icotec it goes well past 300yrds

Great video. Ty
Wish the Ico-Tec had a few crow calls
You're right who needs 200 calls 😒. I got the ico gc300 just now at midway for 63 bucks so at that price point I couldn't say no

Question ?
what did the FOX PRO set you Back in $$$$$.? Herd that they are very Expensive etc.
Nice vid!! By the way...where do you hunt in New Brunswick?
Love that lab!
Thanks....good review
At 8:21 you said you needed to turn it up on the foxpro @100 yards, was the sound turn up @ 200 yards or did you forget?
my foxpro spitfire has a background noise

Are you the king of pogey beach by any chance?
The dog is very cool, i like it.
which one have you had the best luck with FoxPro or icotec 300

I got the icotec at Walmart 40$ trying it in the morning
Compare apples to apples. GC500 is about the same price and has more features. Good video for guys though
Wow. Who sells the ico tec. Have to have it. And what calibre you guys use other than shotgun.
dedicatedhunter (mike poirier) the call can be found on amazon...usually use 223 or 22-250 cal rifles
dedicatedhunter (mike poirier) 223

Yeah but I didn't see a fox!
Hello, Dear.
this device comes with pre-configured sounds? or I can play other soms starting from a USB device?
Thanks you!
And you dont need to wear sunglasses.
You cant beat an mfk edition icotec with Torry Cook's sounds on it...
Your paying for the name with fox pro.
