In order to complete this test, I modified the battery to add extra 4000mah juice. It's a windy day and I still get around 25% battery left at the end.
I haven't seen any drone from the dji until today do long range without interference in 10 km and go back the 10 km with peace of mind and land still with 25% battery, this is amazing!!!
@@dballz78 Great, I have flown 8km and almost back with my Fimi X8 SE 2020. Maybe 14,5km. There was a strong headwind coming on the way back home and I had to land on a field with tall grass.

Two attributes this drone has that aren’t publicized much: its firmware doesn’t have flight restriction capability that can geofence you or prevent you from taking off (like DJI) and the integrated remote ID module can be toggled off. Can’t wait to get my 2022 X8; arrival in March.

No, just the stock setup, just keep an eye to make sure the remote antenna point to the drone. Indeed I did a 12km flight the other time but didn't record the screen.
@@shapethefuturetech6005 how about using range extenders to reflect/boost the signal for maximum range test maybe up to 15km+ until the battery is done and then it will land on its one and you will pick it up? Just to see whats the max range is. Would be great but you need to find a place where you can do that
A very nice flight Over the ocean toward the ships with your FIMI X8 SE 2022 in a 10km test flight. T he FPV image is crisp and clear. A very nice view of the ships. A very nice video captured on your FPV device with grid lines because you had no SD card. A very nice flight over the ocean at 76m above the ocean. As you flew out to 6500m you increased your height to just over 100m. You were flying at 13m/s and received a low battery warning at about 9960m before you returned to the home point (RTH). Your RTH was flown at 13m/s but slowed down to 12m/s. A very long test flight for over 28 minutes. You flew all the way back with a low battery warning before you landed just past the beach.
I have the external battery plug and a 3500 lipo anything I should know before I try using it …like do I plug the extra battery in after I turn on the drone or before..I’ve searched RUclips and there seems to be no fimi battery mod information…the 2022 is turning out to be the best sleeper drone out there ..only the mavic 3 and autel evo 2 pro can keep up with its performance…..I don’t think the drone reviewers like fimi for some strange reason…anyways thanks

Obviously, it was possible to fly 10 kilometers and return back thanks to the video recording turned off in the drone itself! This greatly helped to save battery power.

Is it important to mathc the c rating or can you go over 75c with the secondary battery, does it even matter? (i've found a 4500mah 100/200c LiHV) Any help appreciated!

Insane ! This drone really does good works. This is what i expect from drone industry. And you did it with more or less budge friend drone not with Dji premium products. More than 10 km is unnecessary already for a civilian flight. More than 10 km is like military level drone. Actually for a video footage even 1 km is enough.

No geofence outside China, the remote ID can be enable or disable.

Great flight, the FPV feed looks solid! Tilted horizon doesn't look so good, however, Fimi still need to work on that.

Pay attension to the gps antenna on the tail is not covered by external battery and cables. Test near you for several flights before flying longer.

Connect a 3s lipo battery pack in parallel and do the battery capacity calibration in the app then you can go.
