Congratulations!!! If you want to get the nib tuned, I would suggest going to a pen show in person and getting a pro to fix it and adjust it to exactly how you write. I love that this is in memory of your granny... I feel you and feel the same way about my late grandma. ❤

Beautiful. My birthday is in July so the Ruby-ish color is everything it should be. I would not send it to MB. My guy friend has sent two pens to them and they weren’t repaired and he ended up just using a nibmister to get it the way he wanted it. Even the associate at the store didn’t feel strongly knowledgeable. It’s a gorgeous pen and I’m sure granny would approve of your memento

So I think any work I have done will be in-person with a trusted nibmeister! I think my Granny would've thought it's gorgeous. (Also thank you for knowing that it's a mEmento and not a mOmento. That's one of my pet peeve misspellings/mispronunciations!)

@@gingerpeachyI think this person was talking (and feeling clever) about a rumor that Catherine the Second was very keen on horses in a slightly creepy way- a rumor that carried throughout the history but never has been supported by any evidence.
