IF you cut down a fruit tree, you'll get a sapling back, but it's best to look up the trees to know which ones you need to tap. The square- topped tree at the very right of your farm is a hard wood tree and a great source of hardwood right now!😊 The tree button above the chest color bottom is the "tree symbol" button we were talking about that will show you what you need for the community center. It will pulse if you goober over something in your inventory that needs to go there when you have your inventory and/ or a chest open. Great job so far! 💜💜💜
In the mines, the little skull icon means all enemies have to be killed before you can progress to the next floor. Something to remember if you are low on health and out of food.
Oh, and break all crates and open all backpacks and tap all coal cars in the mines!!! Those crates can give you great things, including new weapons! 💜💜💜
You can shake non-fruit trees to sometimes get seeds, including the square-topped hardwood tree (forget the type -- mahogany maybe, it was added in vanilla). 8 hardwood per tree harvested. Some trees have green on the trunk... moss that can be collected.
52:35 - The flies are faster than you are, so you're better off making a stand than running. More keep spawning so if you don't kill the ones that are attacking you then you'll be overwhelmed. Also, keep some health items with you at all times. The levels get more difficult quickly, so you can't just continue doing what was good enough in the easier levels.

Other than the Pear tree, you can't get to the fruit trees until you upgrade your tools. Also, like others have posted, they now will give you the fruit tree sapling if you accidentally cut one down.
Scarecrow/Rarecrow range is 8 spaces in all direction, like a big circle around it. So it would definitely be a good idea to have a second one on your size field.
Congrats on that early Ancient Seed! Quite the mixed bag of a luck tho, getting two infested floors in a row!! Plus the green haze in the caves, *shudder*
I always assumed the scarecrow has a range of 8. For your 3x3 plots, one scarecrow between 2 or one in the center of 4 plots would cover them all. They are not much bother to make so I always have 2-4. Loosing seeds to crows is expensive! Also, don’t let grass and weeds get to close, they can encroach and destroy crops.
You had 3 or 4 swarms of flies in a row, worst I had was 3 that close together... it is why I do not allow my health to drop below 2/3rds before eating... and if you go home via the northern route rather than through town, you WILL save about 30 minutes of time... from Linus to path to home versus Linus to town to bus stop to home. And missed worm count is now 4 (after about 50 minutes, score worms 4, Shelab 1...)
A sword can cut grass, but will damage crops. A scythe will not damage crops. You can make fertilizer from sap, must be added before end of day the crop is planted.
Most things others have already noticed and reported. I’ve been frustrated that you haven’t moved your sprinkler to water your beens or cucumbers to save time & energy. The small sprinkler (only waters 4 spots) is useful to water flowers when you get bees. Hives need to be within 4-8 spaces and you should not harvest the flowers until late season.
35 minutes in..... 3 worms missed, one harvested (golden carrot seeds)... except for worms in the green onion patches, that give more green onions when dug up, Shelab misses more worms than I can find (while searching for them and forage) in a several hour session. And ZERO mine carts clicked on for free coal in the mines...

You need the scythe to collect fodder for the animal after you get the silo, the sword will cut the grass but you won’t collect fodder.
At 1:26:00 -- Worms 3, Shelab -2... MAKE fertilizer!!! Two sap one fertilizer.
Don't forget to check the mine carts in the mines! at the of the rails. They're filled with free coal
