If you are going to install this, I HIGHLY recommend filling the red splice joint and connector with dielectric grease and wrapping it tight with electrical tape to seal out any potential moisture contamination.
Should be noted that if you connect it this way YOUR TURN SIGNAL WILL flash on the brake light you're installing with whichever brake light you connect it to. Meaning the left, as in the video, will make the new light flash but the right turn signal will not make the new light flash. If you DONT want this to only flash with one turn signal, connect it to the brake light on the rear glass. Its a pretty hefty teardown to get through the trunk but worth it if you don't want yours to look stupid.
The audacity of this dogwater company is pitiful. For those that don't know, Kevin Vo was fired from FT Speed on 12/13/2022 in a disgusting way. Buy your parts from somewhere else than FTSpeed or Subispeed folks; support somewhere that supports its employees and treats them with respect. An 8-year, passionate, face-of-your company employee deserves the respect and courtesy of at least a conversation being had about any conflicts of interest or things that would necessitate termination of employment if continued. To outright fire him out of the blue without giving him a heads up or notice that something he is doing/saying will not fly and deny him the ability to make an informed decision on what his options are going forward reflects poorly upon FTSpeed/Subispeed. In a game where you just play the middleman, I will gladly take my business elsewhere to some other middleman that isn't FTSpeed/SubiSpeed; there are a plethora of other options out there that can access more or less the same catalogue of items. FTSpeed/Subiespeed did Kevin Vo dirty, when Kevin Vo was a SIGNIFICANT part of why the company is as successful as it is today - hopefully yall's marketshare takes a deserving hit and Kevin lands somewhere that will treat him better and be worthy of the good-business his passion and efforts bring forth. If you enjoy content like this, look up and support Kevin Vo's personal youtube channel, where I'm sure he'll be continuing to put out excellent, valueable content without getting screwed by SubiSpeed.
Believe it or not ,is that easy to do.I done 4 supras in my garage( I work on cars for side work) and is a very nice setup.I replace those ugly reflectors on all 4 corners for real LEDs on my 22 Supra.
I was able to install this without needing to pull off the rear bumper. There is some room if you go from underneath and loosen up the exhaust heat shield. I have the OEM exhaust so it was a little tight but doable. I bet it's even easier if you have an after-market exhaust. As for the wires, I just clipped a little from the left tail light from the trunk.
@@Change765 Once you go under the car you'll see the heat shield. There are a few bolts that is connecting the heat shield to the rear bumper and frame that you'll need to take off first. The heat shield will not completely come off but you should be able to bend it far enough to have an opening to reach the light. As for the wiring, I just use the driver's taillight wire (you can use either one). You can access this from the trunk. You shouldn't need to take off the taillight for this. The wire is very short so be careful about how you cut it.
Any way of trimming the excess cable and crimping on new male connectors? I’d like to wrap the cables in a factory shielding and leave just enough cable to reach that splice connection back to the brake light.
Damn such a hassle just for that 🥲 Yeah hell nah im not doing this for a while id be trippin bending my rear bumper like that 😂 This was so much easier to do on the last gen 86

Would you happen to have any videos links that shows how to get that wire to the rear glass breaklight window?

Hey bro can you give a better in depth on how you did it ? I don’t want to remove the rear bumper.

@@nocturnala90do you have insta? I had another question about it

Yes, you can trim if needed.
We need something like this for the GR/BR, eh boys?
Absoluty!
Will not be legal here in Europe anyway ;(
Stay Tuned... 😉
@@olm-outsidelinemotoring3990 pleaseeeee i am dying for one blacked out with LEDs for reverse that blinks

Is there a way to reprogram it cuz mine blanking when I have the hazards on and only one side of the Signal work which the side I slide the wires
why'd you guys remove the whole rear bumper? it looks possible just removing the diffuser
lorddtttyy that looks good asf
Damn One day when I get this car this is the first mod I’m doing
As an owner, this car is a bitch to work on when it comes to electrical components. Took my 6hrs to install a dash cam....
Damn such a hassle just for that 🥲

i have a question, so when you brake does it blink like that, i’m hoping yes
Yes. That’s why it’s called f1 because f1 race cars have flashing brake lights
I don't even own a supra, why did I just watch this entire video?
Got excited till I found out it wasn’t for the BRZ/GR86.
its a supra video ?
bruh he already broke the bumper hole at 2:31 rip
All that just to install an F1 light damn
f1 cars dont have brake lights
"F1 style" refers to the blinking.
Please don’t ruin your supras… nobody wants your aftermarket mods. Stock car is far more desirable
Why did you click on the video?
