Askeladd is one of the best antagonists in anime history easily top three, he is written to perfection
He's one of my favorite characters of all time in all of literature and shows. He's perfectly well written.
cant even name a villain in other media that comes close. even petyr baelish or makina does not come close
H is pretty much the best written antagonist in all literatture.

Personal opinion, Pandora from re zero is the best antagonist in anime. She causes practically everything in the story to occur and right from the get go, you have this deep hatred for her.
In terms of a developed antagonist in the series though, Todd Fang is that character. He brings such suspense to so many moments in arc 7 and he is portrayed as just like Subaru with practically the only power he has is his sheer willpower to overcome and yet survives the worst shit as a “human”. Still though he didn’t overstay his welcome and it’s not like he’s the only antagonist of the series. Every antagonist in the series though plays a role and a difference but Todd stands at the peak so far.

The lyric is also amazing because it relates to what the MC is going through, like main chorus goes something like, "even when i see these sceneries i feel nothing", like he is feeling numb to everything because of what he has been through 😢
I like that screaming doesn't stop until the end, it just put very far on the background, like an eco to the main vocal line.
Survive Said the Prophet is a band that I can’t recommend enough to people. They remind me of the early screamo/Warped Tour era music and all of their albums are great!

A cool thing is the lead vocalist of this band, Yosh, did the vocals for hollow, the main theme of final fantasy 7 remake & just like this song, he knocks it out of the bloody park. Highly recommend it if you're interested.

Japanese songs often switched to English in the chorus, but this song was changed to Japanese in the chorus.

my favorite character in Vinland Saga is the first new mainstay character you'll meet when you get to season 2. I don't want to say anything more, but this character is so important... Thorfinn is evenly tied as my other favorite.

I finished vinland saga a little bit ago. Took me about a week to watch the whole series. I highly recommend to anyone who hasnt seen it yet.

I recommend 'found & lost' by this same band, the song was used for the opening of an anime called Banana Fish and the full song is incredible. I still listen to it these days.

I really like this song, but personally, I actually think the endings are even better. Specially ED 2 and 3. They are some of my favourite anime op eds ever and I feel like nowhere near enough people talk about them.
