Both keyboards used in the video are E-Element Z88. Check out my review here: ruclips.net/video/1hO_1RM4I-8/видео.html
*EDIT: At 0:28, I meant to say they are clicky tactile switches. Tactile =/= clicky (Tactile means there is a bump you can feel when pressing down)
If you want a keyboard with tactile switches but without the loud click, MX/Gateron browns are a good switch to start off with.
@@ddawg266 they have to be 2 pin soo your probably gonna want to get either outemu or mx switches with 2 pins
@@hybrid532 Outemu hotswap boards are not compatible with normal keyswitches unless you do some shady ghetto modding on them.
Clicky switches are inherently tactile, so there's no real need to emphasize that they are tactile. LMAO I would like to see a clicky linear switch
EDIT: The ping that you pointed out with the Outemu Dust-proof Reds, while they may be due to lower quality control, could also be a result of the keyboard that the switches are mounted in. Typically, case ping has to do with hollow area inside of the case of the keyboard itself, and can be mitigated by attaching and installing foam into the case.
i just bought outemu keyboard, do they fit with cherry based keycaps? i see the difference in shape of cherry + and outemu [+]. and most keycaps i found on the market is cherry shaped
Otemus are good. Don't be a brand slave.
Ikr
outemus are better than cherrys lol
@@sewlfn Have you even tried cherry's?
@@ianmoore1099 yes, i tried cherry's on my cousins keyboard which i used for 3-4 days and didn't really notice a difference other than the fact that the outemu sounded slightly louder
@@sewlfn Oh alright, I just thought you was somebody that said Outemu's are better when you haven't even tried them but now you said you tried them your comment makes sense.
An easy way to describe the sound is: blue switches go “click” and red switches go “clock”
I’d say more of a clack, if you bottom out that is.
It’s click and CLØNK but I think linear switches feel weird
I prefer CLOCK!
Nuke Switch Booooooommmmm
The click goes skrrra
The Otemu red, 50g, got you tired because you're used to cherry MX red, 45g.
Please start exercising immediately.
I used Razer Greens to workout my fingers. MX Reds to chill.
Fr bruh, how you tired from pressing 5 extra grams. Like please do forearm exercise to increase your grip strength then play guitar to increase your finger/hand endurance.
i play piano
Outemu ice dark purple user dabbing on all the 45g actuation plebians
@@WinterFlare yes you can get tired by pressing switches with extra grams. Key switches are really important for rhythm game gamers. A slight change on the actuation force can ruin a players accuracy and drain stamina.
Blue switches and Red switches like Intel and AMD
AMD usually being red and Intel mostly being blue. So, You're about right my man.
Also like Matrix, the blue pill and the red pill!
Or Audi and BMW but i prefer Audi
Intel make a anoying controves amd make silend controvers
Ans here s the comment that ll start a fucking war
Everyone: talking about their outemu blues
Me with my rubber dome switches as I did no research and got a Corsair k55 that is full size:
impulsive buyer gang eyyyy
Same
Edit: now I have a good keyboard with outemu browns so pretty nice.
@DEEJMASTER 333 stop unnecessarily judging people, no one asked for your negativity.
1:43 start 3:13 end
I had outemu blues, I really loved them, but I had to switch to outu red, because I was annoying everyone in the house :D
Me too
Which is better for typing?
@@wasimraazakram3293 For typing I would say the blue switches
@@schmidt_sadi Thankyou 🥺❤️
Is the red more prone to accidental typing error?
@@wasimraazakram3293 Yes, at least it was harder for me
I'm very unbiased, so I'll say that I love how both switches sound. But I'm going to make it easier for anyone else.
1:42 Outemu Blues, if you like Satisfying Clicks, or Typewriters, as I call it.
2:30 Outemu Reds, if you don't want to be annoyed, or annoy anyone, but like a rich, responsive sound and feel.
I personally lean more towards the Reds, but I don't dislike Blues.
The blue switch is kinda mediocre as a clicky switch. They use a click jacket to create a click which makes way for lots of rattle. If you want clicky, consider something like box whites, or for something more tactile, box pinks, or even more tactile, box Jades/Navies. These use the Clickbar approach and the sound is really sharp and crisp.
Reds don’t give any feedback though.
@@WinterFlare then Browns it is
Okay, red it is... thank you!
Which Outemo ( not cherry ) switch can I use for gaming ? , Red or blue Outemo???
Outemu blue switch calms me and so relaxing to type on. Made me more productive to do typing and just pressing random keys lol
ADHD is a bitch lol~
more productive in pressing random keys
@@xzZZZ799 hahahahahaha
xzemiyl haha so true I have the blues and I literally just do type testing while studying
@@Krystalmyth true.
3:45 I think that might be plate ping and not spring ping.
The Outemu Switches were clearly created to allow the mechanical keyboard market to expand its range of customer, and I hope this keeps up, this type of keyboards deserve to be accessible by most.
While yes the Cherry MX Switches are nice, that's for sure, but they are premium switches that cost quite a lot which just... bloats the cost of mechanical keyboards like crazy, almost never allowing them to be available under a 100$ price range, which is quite expansive for the average consumer for only a keyboard.
Overall, I'm happy these exists
Alternative option for budget friendly than Cherry MX but also smoother and better than Outemu: Gateron and Kailh as always.
@@huunhanle3809 Yeah I heard these two were an in-between as well and frankly, the more switches that can cover more price ranges and fill the gaps, the better.
In the end, the consumer wins no matter what so... yeah, keep em' coming haha.
I like clicks and i like blue switches
But why Blue is easier to press than Red?
I think the red one is better because it is quiet but that is my dipping but we all know rad is better than blue
1:43 blue 2:38 red
blue sounds better
Trust me, red switches are nicer for gaming.
Ty dude
@@parshpat are red swiches clicky enough
THANKS
Y'all want a lil keyboard trick for typing/gaming? Flip the spacebar so that it's angled towards you and your thumb won't be hitting the edge of it like before.
that's how you throw a switch off-balance and make it last less clicks

now finally understand whats the difference of switches this my first time buying a mechanical keyboard which is Tecware Phantom RGB
What kind of switch did you get and how did it feel?
@@junyanlim4718 i bought the red switch, red is more quieter than blue and there is no clicky feeling while there is in blue but mostly are explained already in this video so it is really the same as he explained
@nonbeliever101 siege tecware phantom is really nice for budget mechanical keyboard
Since im still new when comes to mechanical keybaord so i dont know much on the difference between the brands and model but imo tecware phantom rgb is good for starters like me and i dont regret it since i dont gave much money to buy a really expwnsive ones >.
I went for the brown for gaming and typing. Don’t like it and I enjoy more tactility and click so I sold it and going for blue soon when it’s in sale again
The reds sound so pingy idk how to describe it
I have a Redragon with outemu blues, and can attest that they feel very good to type on. However they are extremely loud, I'm thinking about getting the one with outemu reds as my girlfriend keeps complaining I wake her up when I'm gaming with the blues. Are the reds really that much quieter to the point that it won't disturb her sleep?
It's definitely much quieter. Just by the sound test alone you can hear how less obnoxious the linear switches are compared to tactile. With the reds you defs wont disturb her unless you're mashing them super hard.
Try rubber O-rings first. Haven't tried so idk but 1-2 per switch makes it rather quiet
@@LowlifeMnich I want to buy it is it good?
I can second this... I have the Redragon blue switches... bought by mistake! They are very loud and my gf is making me snap my fingers to remove them from existence.
GET OUTEMU BROWNS THEY FEEL JUST LIKE THE BLUES BUT JUST SUPER SUPER QUIET
"MX Browns are tactile" lmao, they're scratchy linears that's it
I bought 10 red switches to test out on my keyboard which already was an outemu blue keyboard. So far, i'm loving the red switches more than the blue switches.
U can buy more and get a custom mechanical keyboard!!!!
Wtf, I have like 9 months using an outemu blue switches keyboard, but now they sound as red switches lmao
the bump wears out as you use the switches, it 's the same case for me as i used the same keyboard for over 3 years.
sounds decent if you get all keys worn out evenly
"Loudest switch" try any Green swtich and come back to tell me how typewriter-ish it is
"any Green switch", uhuh. Try Kailh Box Navies instead.
huh uh. beamspring
Those are some delicate hands
all outemu keybaords have the exact same font lol. I have a redragon kumara and it is almost the same, even the layout of the media keys, the windows key and the spacebar light
Literally almost all budget mech keyboards have the same font
Modecom Volcano Lanparty?
im planning on using blue switches for all the numbers (i like it when i type on the number pad and it clicks on 96 percent keyboard)
I want to buy a keyboard, and the difference between the these blue and red switches is from 2€ (approximately 2$). Must I buy the blue switches?
Arnau ಠ_ಠ I recommend blue or brown switches
Get red
Get red because you wont even here blue anyways if you have headphones and the red feels better so yh my opinion
Also, keep in mind the cherry reds are on a different board than the outemu reds board.
not sure if you spoke about the response time for click if you know pls tell me
Response time depends on the keyboard PCB, not the switch.
Lmao my middle school used that same eagle for there logo
The NPET Logo?
The E-Element Logo?
Blue are much better than red for me
Used blues for 3 years hated until i changed to red and really liked it now i just use red, brown isnt bad thou
I originally wanted to get cherry mx silent reds, but my keyboard comes with outemu blues so the cherry mxs wont fit, plus the cherry mx switches are somewhat pricy. So now im searching for equally as quiet and smooth outemu switches as the cherry mx silent redd
As a owner of outemu blues I can confirm that these are really loud.
I can agree too. Though do you have any problems with they keys themselves not registering and/or sometimes a key presses more than once? (besides that i have a cheap keyboard) it happens on a few keys...
@@necrobynerton7384 Not really
I have no problems with my outemu blues except they are loud af, even with headphones after halfyear i'm tired of them, going to get Motospeed CK104 on red outemu
@@NoscoperSans Hi, I have the AmazonBasics mechanical keyboard wirh outemu's blue switches. It works great, it sounds great and it feels great but I fear I could want to change the switches in the future, is it possible on this keyboard? Since it's mechanical, I guess I can, right? Without buying a whole new keyboard.
@@nicosoftnt Yea, you can, but you need some skills, and special instruments( i don't know how to write it on english, just check youtube tutorials, but not ones which say "hotswap", you don't have it on your keyboard, this is not for your case)
nice for the sound compare
Outemu blues sound like my mouse🤣
im very confused is outemu has a box on the side or doesent have?
literally almost fell asleep listening to the outemu blue switches.
Rather than saying that it is low cost, have you given thought to the board being ping?
1:43 kept my on on “V” the whole time 😢
Poor v never getting pressed
Where do you buy the optenu blues
Great review!
Can you replace the outemu switches with the cherry switches on the e-element keyboard iam thinking about to buy extra cherry mx red switches to replace the wasd keys cuz they are faster and make alot quiter sound ;D
Would like to get a answer :)
I'm pretty sure you can replace them like that. You might want to buy one switch to experiment if it fits. (Don't want you to waste money if it doesn't work)
I love red switch
i would go for Outemu Red switches , because i don't have pepe hands
Outemu's a metalic sound at the end. And thats me having both swicthes, still prefering cherry
2:20 ASMR 😆
So the blue switches are right for you.
When you calm down while writing... ^^
no, the red switches is ASMR.
Bruh outemu blues are just a basic way to wake your neighbors
Almost fell asleep, thanks for giving me a bit of rest!
Sleep content is best content amirite 😂
I have a white shark spartan keyboard with outem blue switches i dont way i like blue switches but i like them
Which is better for typing
I'm actually gonna get a keyboard gk18 firefly with outemu red and i already heard the sound of that keyboard so I'm really happy if u want a budget mechanical keyboard u can go for gk18 outemu Reds or gk16 outemu blue
im buying cbgk16(blue)
i like the blue more prices dont matter
thanks man
my blue Outemu switch got quieter after 2 days of Osu
I think i broke it
idk im new to mech keyboards
outemu blue really underated cheap and gives that clicky sound don't be fulled by cherry marketing strategy
"red switches are a bit heavy"
me using a membrane keyboard: *noted*
I feel like the reds sound very cheep
Are the Red switches loud?
Which is better for typing?
Are blues actually loud or are they just comparing the sound to reds?
Yeah, Outemu Blue are loud af. Red are quieter.
which one is good in performance blue or red
I rather blue bc they have faster respond time than red
What keerboad?
are these working on a razer blackwidow V3? :)
*Please name the keyboard*
I personally have the redragon k552 kumara with outemu red switches and will say that.......it is better than some switches (I forgot)
1:42 when you find those jumping lego pices
For my reference

If you have a single keyboard with outemu blue switches, don't talk to me....
i think the keycaps matter
There are so many different company in blue switch which one
If you want a good clicky switch then you may want to try Kailh switches especially their Box White, Jade, Navy switches.
Im trying to decide whether to get oetemu reds blues or browns
Brown for overall balance with bump and quiet. Red is mostly suitable for gaming and require sometime to get used to if you want to typing/ working on it.
the human nose can only hear the visible price difference
What you choose guys red or blue?
Outemu red switch is probably a good start for gamers trying a cheap mechanical keyboard. At first everyone like how blue sounds but after a period of time it is just kinda loud and you would prefer the red switch. For anyone want to buy a new keyboard just go for red switches.
Best comment.
one finger for a switch sound test, everybody knows the rules.
Sound is not an issue. But which one feels amazing to type? Oetemu blue or red?
Red by a long shot
@@Romsicle alright thanks bro☺️
so my W key isn't working as it should, I just wanna know if I can use MX Cherry blue switches on my Zebronics max pro keyboard which uses Outemu dustproof blue switches.
would it work?
You can but it will require you to clip and trim the switch pins in order for the new switches to fit the sockets. Since Outemu sockets are smaller than normal sockets.
@@huunhanle3809 thank you but I tried a trick and put some WD-40 in the switch and its working fine at least for now.
i have outemu blue
and the truth is I like red ones better
Bro can you help me i have outemu red in my redragon keebb its hot swapble but i cant get the switches out og the keeb no mater how hard i pull on it
Some boards are just terrible hotswaps - either gotta force it out like a maniac or find a new board. I had that same experience with these boards.
Can you hear the matalic nosie everytime he pressed the key
Best switch test I have ever seen this guy knows what he is doing!
red switches top
are cherry mx keycaps compatible with these? Im thinking about buying the MARS GAMING Mk60 with blue outemo switches but idk much about all this and I just wanna be able to switch the keycaps and all the ones I find are cherry mx compatible
If you see keycaps with the cross, they'll fit any switch with a cross. You just need to make sure the keycaps you get can cover the entire keyboard because there's different sizes of keycaps. For the MK60, almost any standard keycap set will fit it. (Double check if you use ISO tho)
@@Romsicle thank you!!
I have blues, im getting reds
are outemu red switches smooth, because some people on r/mk say that they are rough
They're kinda scratchy at first like all switches and they get better over time.
@@Romsicle I got a tecware phanton 87 with the outemu red switches, and for me they are super smooth. I could even consider it buttery smooth. But keep in mind, I came from gateron Browns which are really bad. They are really scratchy.

blue : tik
red : tok
i was expecting outemu blue with my k552 but i got the red version that i didnt even know exsisted and all i can say is "a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one"
i have the outemu reds and they're kinda sorta loud????
