Glad to see you back, I've also been gone. So did you end up being hospitalized into an Ed unit or were you discharged after recovering from surgery? Hope you're doing better, gorgeous x
I was discharged after recovering from the surgery. The therapist I was talking to about my ED while in the hospital recommended me to a therapist I could see when I got home..
@@ItsStyleTheory wait, you weren't hospitalised? You seem to have lost a lot of weight though, and you were thin to begin with. How's that going, therapy I mean? (:
I feel bad because I want to be the best example for everyone watching my videos but I'm only human. Dealing with a mental illness is not easy and neither is getting help (even when you know you need it). I'm going to be honest with you... I didn't continue therapy after leaving the hospital because I'm not ready to get help. I have lost weight and I am not doing too well when it comes to my ED right now. I hope that I will be ready to get help soon but it's hard and it's complicated... :/
@@ItsStyleTheory hey, gorgeous, don't sweat it. We still really enjoy your content and I'm in love with your poems (especially the one about the selective mutism). I'm certain you inspire many others, too. It's okay if right now you're not ready to recover, but you'll get there eventually. I did, and so many others did, there's no reason you won't (: xx
Shani, I hear you’re going through a period a particular distress, uncertainty, and coping through ways that don’t contribute to your health and wellbeing. As someone who has been enriched by your content here, I feel worried and wish to see you in the best circumstances possible. You have created a space for understanding and relating for those who struggle with anxiety and eating disorders. Your vlogs provide such joy for those tuning in to see you just be you. I've been struggling with social anxiety since I was in pre-K and still struggling today in my 20s but I've gotten better through therapy which helped me make more friends and get a job. I had an eating order as a teen, where I can't help but to eat when I'm feeling emotional but I felt even more depressed after eating all that food and would try to make myself vomit. But I started making more healthier choices as I decided to become a vegan and eat more fruits and veggies, not all the time but I'm getting better at it. Exercise also helps with anxiety which I do often. BTW I'm also a Grey's Anatomy fan lol.
Thanks for sharing!! We have a lot in common... I've been struggling with social anxiety since pre-K as well. 😞 I'm a lot better now luckily, I hope you are too! Grey's is the best!
