@@johnoleary8751 Oasis had their time but that has long since passed. The fact fans are willing to pay thousands to watch them says more about how good they were than how good they might be this time next year
@johnoleary8751 it is difficult to explain the cultural impact that punk had in a time when media and information was limited to TV, radio and newspapers. I am not making a musical comparison, but the ticket prices are not in my opinion directly related to significance. I was fortunate to see many bands during the change from prog rock, like The Who, Alex Harvey, Dr Feelgood and The Clash. That has set a high bar for comparison. I can understand why oasis were popular, but I haven't been to a football match for almost 50 years, and there appears to be an audience crossover.
Musicians have a right to work and earn money. People have a right to see them should they choose. Yeah, it isn't 1977, we can't turn back the clocks. Enjoy while you can. Many bands, sports teams even, have personal changes and carry on.
Good to see Cookie, Jonesy & Glen back together. Very brave to bring in a new front man, but what a great choice. All gigs were sold out & all press reviews have been positive, lets hope we see this happen again next year
@@AlanKelsothis is the core of the Sex Pistols. I saw John's cruise ship musicians version of PiL in 1983 and it was the worst!!! I was at this gig and it was absolutely fabulous darling 😊!
@@fr.mcgreer8349 He has got a point. It isn't really the Sex Pistols is it? It's a cash in using their name viewed by a load of old blokes trying to re live the youth they lost long ago. Being rebellious at 60 years old seems a little pretentious to me.
Frank Is Doing a Great Job!, John Cant sing anymore, Fact !! Its Frank Carter & Sex Pistols. Getting close to their 70s, The Pistols are Still Amazing. You cant Deny them that !! xxxx
That's the point. Frank Carter doesn't overdo the Lydon stuff in the vocals so doesn't fall into tribute band territory, which makes this work fantastically well.
@@JoeMullanMusic 100% He doesn't need to try and be Lydon. This is not a tribute, it's a re birth. Also, he sings My Way, his way. Not mocking Sid. Class act.
Maybe some of the people paying a fortune for Oasis tickets should see this.
That Oasis tribute band at the boxing was terrible
Really? Oasis did more songs and they are still good

If they came to America I would.
Whatever people think of the pistols their influence is undeniable.
So refreshing then and now
This ain't the next pistols without John it's a joke
It’s not billed at the pistols mate.
... but the video title says so. 🤷

Absolutely awesome, and the front man was the cherry on the top, proper showman.
cheers for sharing, where's part 2 , I cant seem to find it?

Is it the Sex Pistols? Give me a break.
Yes, back together after almost 20years. Let's hope they do this again.
@@AlanKelso No lead singer? No band? Are you watching the same video as the rest of us?

I hope a cd live❤
Jonesy , Cookie and Matlock sounding as good as ever . Frank Carter is the cherry on top the cake. Great choice to replace Lydon with him.

Frank sings the songs really well
Frankie shouts not sings this isn't Sex Pistols ex Pistols with someone else
@@stealth1959 Better than nothing. It was brilliant at Manchester
no pogo :) ?

Well I didn't know the original and got to go to gig as plus, just know this singer was absolute star performer.
