    I’ve owned mine for 40 years and it’s still the best rest I’ve ever used. Butterfly design locks em solid for me.

    I got one of those sleds thinking it was a great idea and it sucked. The whole sled wanted to move under recoil and it was a little difficult to get behind. Learn as you go.

      Did you weigh the sled down properly?

    The best rest is a sack of cracked corn.

    can you tell what is the optimal crater height of this, if using on a hunting rifle like a Rem model 700 please? How low can it go? how high can it go without losing grabbing or stability? My question is : what is the optimal height? If you prefer to give me the measurements from the center of the barrel,, that's also fine. thank you

    Sandbag method. Cheap and easy. Works, but not best.

    This looks very similar to the BullsBag. Color diff, and BullsBag incorporates a carrying strap.
    But opens and snugs the rifle the same way. Mych better than my old rest did.

      It's called inflation. Found it a little cheaper. shop.opticsplanet.com/uncle-bud-s-css-shooting-accessories-1005.html?_iv_code=8H-SY-1005&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9qGgsPWW2wIVjrXACh147A7hEAQYAyABEgIFP_D_BwE

    Sounds like a phony testimonial. Unless Newton's 3rd law of motion is wrong, this bag won't reduce recoil 1 iota. Recoil force is a vector quantity, that is to say it has magnitude and direction. How could it possibly reduce linear momentum in line with the shooter's shoulder? Plus if you get a tear in the bag it's done for. Basically, it's a waste of money.

    • @proclaimliberty2000

      Brent, I never said it would reduce felt recoil. This bag is made tough and will never tear under normal use. It is my understanding that the military even uses these bags.

      @@proclaimliberty2000: This is what the header to your video claims - "Designed to increase stability while reducing felt recoil and muzzle jump." According to the laws of physics, it can't do either.

      @@brentcarson9634 My bad. I guess it does say that in the description. All I can tell you Brent is I love it and I wouldn't use anything else to sight my gun in. My testimonial is not phony; hence why the military uses these. I have no association with the company.

      It grips the gun. Not like a vise, of course. But it does. And the weight of the bag absorbs recoil.
      It works.

    • @ArkansasBadBoy
      @ArkansasBadBoy Год назад

      @@GFWoodchuck Agreed. I also used to sight in a lot of heavy recoil rifles with this bag and my trick was to put a simple, short bipod on the rifle and have the legs down in front of, and snug up against, the bag each time I fired a shot. I've had a scope or 2 give me a kiss, but never a sore shoulder. I'm delighted to see that these bags are still around.
