i absolutely love how you use more visuals for this...and i must say...more than the words what stuck out in my mind was the images..I really needed this! THANK YOU!
I enjoyed the playful way in which you presented this topic and providing examples and tools to use to facilitate the learning process. You're a gem. Thank you.
I am a visual learner and an audio learner. I get very overwhelmed with what people tell me like I don’t like people critiquing me when they don’t know my choices. I do love repetition. When I started college, I could decide what i wanted to study. I wanted to be a elementary teacher but people used to tell me children didn’t liked me because of how they are with me. That put me down. But as each day passes by, I have figured who I am by doing studying and research in who I am. Most likely I am meant to be an instructor because I love to teach of what I learn. I have chosen the profession of Nursing because people said I couldn’t be a teacher. But now, I learned I like to listen and see images. Thank you for your explanation.
i’m going to try these out. i struggle in lecture class so much but i can easily pass lab. it’s often frustrating in lecture when it comes to quizzes bc i know i know it but my brain doesn’t wanna work with reading a bunch of stuff and thinking really hard.
I believe two of my friends are a read-write type. They somehow manage to remember what they read without taking notes or doing anything! One of them takes "mental notes" somehow, which is so cool! I love to read, so I'm still investigating to what extent active reading will help it stick. However, I know that drawing diagrims of all sorts as well as listening and speaking work for me. I feel I might be an auditory and visual combo and it seems I'm more auditory than I thougt... It's worth really fine tuning your study method!
It's awesome that you're figuring this out for yourself, and that you're taking the time to find the best study methods for you. Even though it might look like your friends are "doing nothing" to learn what they read, there's a chance that they're doing something that just isn't visible. For example, when we read something new and immediately try to connect it to something we know, then we are more likely to learn it. Sounds like your friends might be doing some of that while they read - even if they don't know they're doing it =)
Wow, thanks a lot for the tips. I'm a visual learner:) The tip that fits me most is the "Use Colors" one because I always use colours thanks for all the tips:)
Hi ms i have a question , im a visual and i have a really good memory of everything. But how do i not let my negative thoughts not get to me of certain people from my past while im doing my tests, exams and quiz ?
Youre right- a child with adhd and dysgraphia will not benefit from writing anything over and over. But he would likely benefit from TALKING about the material he’s learning. He could review what he’s learning by trying to explain it out loud to someone else. (If he can’t explain it, then it’s a sign he doesn’t know it.) He could also try voice-to-text ... google docs as well as some other programs have free built-in tools so your child could just speak to the computer and it will write it for him. He can do this while standing or pacing around if it’s difficult for him to sit for long periods of time.
I thought a combination was a myth. I thought being a dancer I would be a mix of visual and auditory. But I was told you can only be one. Can you verify please. Or even a video can help.
You can absolutely be a combination learner! In fact, combo learners have a benefit because they are more likely to learn the information no matter how the teacher is presenting it. =)
Huh, interesting so if you are a empathetic person. can you somehow incorporate an emotional connection to the information you intake, to help with your memory? I’ve noticed my emotional connection with traumatic events. with things gives me a lucid memory of what I had experienced. Could I combine the two, emotional with logical learning. Of course I’m not saying learning is traumatizing lol. I mean to find my own interpretation to the material. Course this is speaking from more of an artist perspective.
Oh, I know what you mean. I’m sorry about that - test anxiety stinks. The best thing you can do is to start studying early, just a little bit each day, but as far in advance as possible. Keep track of EVERYTHING that’s confusing to you, and ask your teacher to clarify it all (or find answers another way). Think of being a student as an actual job. Employees get super nervous before their work evaluations and big presentations too- so it only makes sense that students would get stressed too. Prepare early and often. ✨🤓
Best way to learn any language is to immerse yourself in it. WatchTV shows with English subtitles, listen to podcasts in English, read lower level English books such as books made for younger kids. Listen to English and speak it every day.🤓
I’m so glad it’s helpful to you!! Also, lol it’s so funny how many times people have said I look like Kristen Bell recently.... I assure you she is wayyyyyyyyy cooler than me 🤣🤣🤓
I'm a visual learner so I loved looking at your wonderful hair. Great tips by the way.

This video helps me
I have severe adult adhd and my teacher recently told me I’m a visual learner. She said it was uncommon.
How do you help a child who has ADHD? Writing over and over will not be easy for him. Also having dysgraphia is tiring for him.

They're called the children of the forest, guess it may be a compliment? 😂
Haha thanks! 🙃
