Bismarck is probably one of the most impressive wrecks of the world. Sure, it's not complete, but you have to understand, this thing was meant for war. You had the chance of just sailing around the Atlantic, and bumping into this behemoth. The history makes it all so much more worth it, let alone the fact that a good amount of of the ship is still relatively in decent condition.
the amount of armor that thing had is probably why its still in such good shape unlike the other ships which all are mangled and disformed from the impact of hitting the floor
@@christianfranck1818 Not really, the ship did indeed have a stupid level of armor, it’s still in tacked since the crew let it sink. That is why it’s sat in such an up right posture. It went straight down, with no tilt or capsizing, so it reached the sea bed relatively undamaged.

When she hit a certain depth…crunch. Bismarck due to the scuttling was able to flood evenly and by the time she reached depth she was already full of water.

After the superstructure is completed, you dont add the propellors or funnels now, you have to launch the ship and add it in drydock, That's a mistake i noticed in your vids but great job!

Well, Bismarck didnt changed during this whole time, same as Yamato. Bismarck sunk in condition we see it now, because underwater it was slowly sliding to the bottom doing loops, like planes and then just stopped. In Yamato ammunition exploded, but wreck is somehow still in the same condition like after hitting the bottom, Yamato all turrets are still in perfect condition so we could use them after cleaning. And we need to remember that Yamato is almost twice durable as Bismarck, which is almost impossible. Imagine monster like this in actual Japan imperial navy today.
Heres my thoughts on how long these shipwrecks will last until they rot away Titanic bow : 48 years left Titanic stern : 54 years left Britannic : 3 centuries Lusitania : 102 years Andrea doria : 1 century Bismarck : 2 centuries Willhem gustloff : 78 years Carpathia : 96 years
The Wilhem Gustloff had the biggest death toll out of all these ships, after being torpedoed three times by a Soviet sub, she listed to port and sank in 44 minutes or so, taking the life of a whopping 9.300 people, although the numbers may even be 9.600. The reason she is in three pieces is because in the 60s the Soviets blew her up in an attempt to erase the possible war crime commited by the S-3.
And it will be like that for the next few centuries because it literally can not rust in 4,2Km of depht where there is close to 0% oxigen so basically the Bismarck will stay the way it is until the Seas dry out
Was... That's based off an old photo of her. If you were to look at more recent photos her entire superstructure is gone since it was lightweight to help with keeping the ship light. Ounce of all the ships the only one really worth rescuing would be Bismarck but even then refloating a ship of that size isn't really worth it..... You could also argue it would be a disservice to the people who gave their life fighting on her in that it's better to just leave her at peace. If you ever want to see a cool shipwreck that will probably still be there for a long time go to Britannic. Since she's Titanic sister ship she looks very similar to her but unlike Titanic which is in deep ice cold water Britannic is in a nice warm shallow water and an ideal conditions for preservation. Keep in mind when I say preservation in this case I'm actually talking about keeping the ship where it is and taking measures to slow down the process of it deteriorating. It's a fantastic diving spot if you ever get the opportunity.
