- G'Day Folks. We've been flat out painting, fixing doors & water tank pipes at the farm trying to get the place ready to move into ASAP. We also met our new "Downstairs" neighbour this week & thought we'd introduce you all to him/her as well. 🦎😉

Nice patch-o-dirt, glad you got that sorted, we found the place we were looking for too, I think it is a bit closer to Gimpie than you, more house and less land, was a lime orchard running a fertigation system. Looking to get that all up and running again within a year from now, plus all the usual self sufficient homesteading stuff.

TBH, the air conditioners in my house kinda look like yours…Well, probably worse, actually. They are that old that the white plastic is turning that yellow colour and the plastic is becoming brittle and although at first I thought that it might just be a cosmetic issue, the aircons themselves kept breaking down. The parts were really starting to degrade, too. Managed to keep them running through the winter (they provide heat in the winter and cool air in the summer,) with the help of a good friend of mine who services and repairs aircons, before summer I got them replaced. I didn’t realize how crap and inefficient the old ones were at cooling until I got the new ones. I started with my living room and my bedroom first, then splashed out for one in my guest bedroom once I could afford it. Luckily my kitchen and living/dining room are open plan, because one of my pet peeves is baking in the kitchen while I am cooking! My friend also told me what brands were the best in my country and when they had special offers on, so as to help me save for the last one for my guest bedroom.
We have guinea fowl so I hardly notice the females calling until you mention them... The males on the other hand have a very annoyingly loud screech. Thank you for the video.
