I just got my isl-19 and the screws other than my old eyes was soooo simple to size! This watch is incredible!! Looks great, built like a tank this definitely satisfies my need for an skx! I highly recommend this if your interested in it go for it ! Mine does not have a ridge that you spoke about mine is flush so that is good, I don’t see myself taking this off for a long time!

I just got the same watch and it's beautiful. I think for the money and what you get blows away skx. The sapphire bezel and the lume is great. It looks even better in person.

Well I don’t have the padi turtle so I’m not sure, my guess is they would be quite similar
Hey Chris, very nice review and comparison with the SRPD. It really is quite shocking how much more value there is the SKX homage market compared to the originals. Also the NH35s and 36s are a definite step up from the 7S26s in the SKXs. And you were right about the processor. No glitching in the video now, really nice to see that.

Yes I agree, Marc hit it out of the park with this one, and well, his other Islander seiko homages are fantastic too, I have another of his on my wish list with a beautiful maroon sunburst dial, can’t wait to get it! It will be a bit but it’s on my radar now for sure we’ll worth the money imo

I have a 6.5inch wrist. Will this look too big? there is a 38mm one too but it might look small because of the bezel, a dress watch 38mm would be perfect but idk about a diver.
I have the 38mm diver in for review, check out my unboxing video of it, my most recent vid, I don’t think it looks too small at all! That said, this one in this video should work well with your wrist too, I don’t think this one is too big for your wrist size

Absolutely one of my fav and most worn watches! Only downside which I think I recall stating in this video is the bezel is not as tight as I would like but I’m sure that issue has been resolved in their restock of the item. Highly recommend this watch is awesome!

I have a real attachment to my skx007, I thought that I would mod it but I really only changed the strap on it. Another Seiko strap mind you, just much better quality. Guess I like them original.
Yeah I’m sure the skx is great! Can’t find one for less than 500 bucks at this point, at least not new anyways. I thought this was a good alternative, and spec wise certainly is.

That bracelet/lug fitment is terrible. That can’t be the norm with every Islander surely?
No definitely not, and I had someone say that they did not have this issue with theirs, the exact same watch…..and having discussed this with others no other issues and I have two other islanders no issues with fitment on those bracelets. Waste of time-- buy a solar,Eco drive , quartz and do away with - servicing,winding, adjustment,inaccuracy. Nh35 can be all over the place.
Waste of time? Nah, love my Islander got it on today in fact! Definitely going to get a citizen one of these days too, I assume that’s what you meant.
Haha I had a eco drive watch. I threw it in the trash. What a headache. Changing batteries sucks too. I prefer a watch that is read to go if I put it in a drawer for 20 years.
I’ve had great luck with my eco drive citizens! Weird! These watches are definitely not a waste of time.,incredible value! My nh35 has definitely not been all over the place it’s ran great and keeps great time,I highly recommend this watch and brand!
