I always like "BTS" videos and I like learning how others work, what tools they use, etc. And I'm not on the social media classic "being influenced" side, wanting to have the same stuff others have.
I'm just curious and find it fascinating how things are done and how it works to see the final result (I think that's why I'm a "flightsimmer" for >25 years, too.). ☺

As someone just getting into arranging music for my band and SLOOOOOWLY getting pieces of a home studio, Geoff's honest reviews really help to give me ideas. You don't need the shiny new Big Thing. Affordable but well-made headphones, free plugins... I've downloaded many of the plugins he uses and love them!
the shiny new (and expensive) often isn't better than the true and tried. like Geoff once said (about his cheap $50 mic he started out with), there's no shame in starting small and working your way up.

Is funny that inexpensive headphones work so well, I use them for working out vs the expensive ones for gaming. Geoff's setup is cool, and thank you for sharing with us, huldra. I am planning to become a patreon soon 😅

haha, yeah, I'm sure that with him recording his own audio, he needs top notch studio headphones to catch every detail.
and yeah, that computer screen (which apparently just is called "big ass" 😂 ) is frickin' huge!
LOL. I use $15.00 earbuds to watch/listen on my phone. My computer died over a year ago and I don't think I will replace it. I have a TV, but it is hooked up to a game console, and I don't even know how to turn it on. I have never been good at watching TV. I am good at watching VP, though. I am pretty cheap (translated as poor).

Awesome! Headphones are on my wish list and I needed a hint for quality at a reasonable price.
How is the freq response on that Peluso, compared to say a Shure PGA 227 or even an MXL990?? Do you ever hear any loss or distortion when you are hitting those "growling" E1 subharmonics??
