This is the first movement from String Quartet No.2 "Lore Quartet" which was composed by Ailbhe McDonagh in 2023. This piece was commissioned by the National String Quartet Foundation of Ireland and funded by the Arts Council of Ireland. It was premiered by the Ficino Ensemble at St. John's Theatre, Listowel, Co. Kerry on 6 December 2023.
