Tip for your future Indian Rail journeys -
Your ticket has your bogie/ coach # say like A1 etc. Then about 5 minutes before the train comes the small Electronic boards start flashing the positions of all the coaches on the next train arriving on that platform. One such board is on your left at timestamp 02:13 and 02:25 in this same video. You can notice coach #12 and #11 from the Engine of that train as you are walking. Other details in small font are not visible to me. First that board will flash the train number. Then it flashes the coach # Since diff trains have diff combinations of coaches etc it is important you check if the flashed train # matches with your train number.
This gives you 5 minutes and helps you reach that section of the platform where your bogie/ coach # will come. That way you can reach that place even before your train reaches the platform. This will save you from the last minute rush AFTER the train arrives at the platform. Avoiding the rush avoids chances of falling over, too much tension in heightened chaos, and chances of pick-pockets robbing you. Hope this helps you and other foreign passengers on Indian Railways.
One more way to know where your bogie/ coach will arrive is a bit old fashioned. I will just let you know for the sake of giving a complete answer. Way before the trains arrive on a platform you will find somewhere - typically just outside a small office of Indian Railways on that platform - an old fashioned blackboard . All the trains arriving on that platform in the next few hours are listed there with train number and each train's bogie/ coach from Engine to guard is mapped on that blackboard. So, you do not even have to wait till last few minutes. You can know it hours before the arrival time. Tricky things are that - the blackboard is hard to find if you are new to the station. Second, even if you know what is your bogie # from the Engine on your train you must know which direction your train is coming from - meaning which side is the Engine or else you will stand at the exact opposite end of the long platform. So be careful.
The static position of the bogie/ coach from the Engine is marked on the platform. In your video please check the white board at timestamps 01:08 displaying coach #11 again on the upper corner on Haley's left. They are static numbers where the coach from the Engine will come. aT 02:04 another board is showing #12 so obviously these numbers are for train coming from opposite direction. Correct numbers for you will be on the backsides of the same board. - if the train is moving in the opposite direction the numbers will be ascending / descending different so it is a bit tricky as you are new to the system, country, and chaos 🙂🙏Welcome to India 🙏
I was wondering that why as RUclips travel vloggers these people did not use common sense to position themselves where their coach would arrive. Rather than rushing across the platform as the train pulled in!

It will be made in Japan for the foreseeable future. The profits of setting up a Made In India PU will not be enough until HSR is started to be built in other cities, too. Right now, except some urbanized sectors, most of India cannot afford HSR. Have to wait till Industrialization happens.

One of the worst time to visit Kerala. The heat crossed 41°C mark and the heat from the Ongoing General election also make your life upside-down.
Worst Summer this year....
Here in North India, the temperature reaches at least 45°C in the month of May and most of the heat waves and loo winds blow here.

But, Kerala is too humid. That makes it difficult compared to other places
On most platforms there are small displays which show the coach position of the coming train which you can refer to and move to the right place and it will stop right in front of you, future tip. Cheers and enjoy.

Just a tip: The approximate stopping point of every bogie/ train car will be displayed in advance on digital signboards hanging from the roof of the platform. You may not find it in every station, but they are certainly there in bigger railway stations.

This is something I observed from some foreign tourist vloggers when they start their RUclips channel. first thing they do is visit India and travel in India to increase their RUclips subscription as it’s cheap to visit and have large population

Yea it sucks when people do that. We've visited India multiple times now (before even having a RUclips channel) and love traveling here. We choose where to travel based on where we are interested in - not on trying to grow a channel. Before India, we were in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan😂
It's peak Summer season in India. April-May are the worst months to travel. You Must head to the Himalayan hill stations.
Come back to Kerala in the first week of June when the Monsoon hits the coast. Monsoon is magical in Kerala 😊

in India every coach position is displayed for all the trains in all major stations so that you can wait there before the train comes and not to dash off like you guys did...in your own video you could see c7 is displayed on the little display box along the platform...

Check for least fermented kerala sweet Toddy (3% alcohol). It should be sweet and less than half a day old for premium quality. Also try tapioca with beef fry recipes. You will Not get in any restaurants, but Toddy shops or ask the guides to arrange it..

Example, C7 is your coach number. Now, Where's C3 coach's "position FROM ENGINE"? Ask help window, they gv a number*, find that number in your platform. Coach C7 will come to a stop in this area.
* This number is a digit, 1 through 20, small painted displays hanging from above in your platform.
Your coach's position-number from the engine may not be available online!
Don't confuse this number with the platform-number display - that is just a single LARGE display, hanging in the platform.
You can check your coach status before train will arrive in the platform. So no hustle bustle

Govt of india has been vigoriously improving country's infrastructure, railways, stations. Vande Bharat is small side of it. Soon Vande Bharat metro and Vande Bharat sleeper trains will be operational. The one(station) which you showed in your video will also be modernized.

I have seen many comments like , use ' where is my train app ' but this is an third party app and not always gives accurate coach position and platform... So instead used ' NTES ' which is of Indian railways and much accurate compared to other....😮
