Great review as always! As someone who majored in Classics in college, I got unreasonably excited hearing you say "Pallas Athena." Unsure if I'll try this one as Aurora Black has had me covered for a while as far as black inks go, although I have been curious about trying Aphrodite.
Aphrodite is the standout ink in this line, I think. This one is different from Aurora Black in that it's not fantastically wet, but it's not as singular as Aphrodite is.
“Befuddled” - good word. I’m living the mystery of the chromatography strip vs. the paper towel. I’m trying to think of a mythological explanation but an drawing a blank. Is that copy paper recycled? I’m wondering about the difference there might be between recycled (what we use now) and non-recycled (on what I write y college papers back in the stone ages). I just ordered some of the Croquis paper. Thanks for the review. I assume it sprung full-fledged from your forehead. “Owl” see you later!
I wish videos would just blast out of my head instead of taking all that darn work! The copy paper has 30% recycled paper content, it says. Recycled papers are generally (though not always) more absorbent than the non-recycled kind. I remember the early recycled filler paper being mostly newsprint and so kinda grey. The chromatography difference is likely because of some difference in the way the cappilary action is working in different materials, and that's why I don't use paper towels for it. :-P
Ooooh! This is up my 'philosophically themed ink-alley' 😍... also big up and respect to the editing chops Mike! 👍🏼

It looks like the Quink black on the paper towel
I'm am still looking for my perfect black ink. Something interesting, but reliable. Going to have to try this one out.
There are some really great black inks out there, for sure.

Yes, but isn’t light black in fact grey? 😂 looks like an ink I’d like.
Yep, looks black to me as well.
