When Yvette is alone playing whatever instrument, I envision that as the last note of the song she is playing is fading out that her instrument suddenly morphs into a legion of butterflies that all float toward a beautiful sunset.

So either your bassist plays nothing but a few base notes or everything is lost in the mix. Nothing against simplicity, but in my opinion the bass doesn't do the rest of the band justice.
