Thanks! I did it with only a graphite pencil but the lighter shades are accomplished by the White paper i was drawing it on! Best tutorial of the month 10/10

This is one of the best photorealistic bird sketches I've seen. Thank you for taking the time and share with us. I tried to follow this tutorial but for me, the problem is after blending the graphite when I try to add white charcoal I barely see the white color. The white charcoal works fine on paper but just not when I add a layer of graphite. I'm using Faber Castell pencil and mont marte white charcoal pencils. Do I need to use any specific type of paper/graphite /white charcoal to make it work? Thank you @Drawing & Painting - The Virtual Instructor
Great video but I wasn't able to make the proper textures for the feathers. I was wondering what kind of paper did you use for this drawing? I was having a hard time making a clear mark using the white charcoal pencil...

Very well presented. I can follow everything you are saying. I wish there was a little more information about how to draw birds in general, since there are many kinds. I will check out your courses though. I like the approach. Wish my white charcoal pencil was a little more cooperative. Maybe it's just old. Doesn't seem to work too well with graphite.

Lonely Knight they Lao used plain black charcoals and you should watch all sorts of videos on these supplies it may teach you some great techniques that may help you in the future ^w^

I must include the negative; now that we've a black president, and as MLK noted in history, we can now see the real character by their content in behavior, but also, in the contents of their post. How come the white charcoal pencils I bought can never produce white marks on the paper? They act like blenders.
It depends on the quality of your paper and charcoal paper I think
