  • This is just a quick clip of an incident where a NOAA Weather Radio station was interfering with the railroad reception on my Uniden BC75XLT. The radio is connected to an external antenna mounted on my car as well as the car’s stereo system as per usual. This seems to occur specifically in the town of Bono, Arkansas, as I had experienced this exact issue before in the same location. A similar thing had occurred to me in Pine Bluff, where NOAA Weather Radio transmitter WXJ54 from Star City tried to buzz in as well. This is likely due to the railroad band, which is in the 160-161 MHz range, being so close to the weather radio channels, which are located between 162.400 and 162.550 MHz. No trains were approaching at the time of filming, and the railroad didn’t seem to say anything about it, so it may have something to do with my setup specifically as well.
