For real!! Only other band I think that has done a good job on only evolving their sound they already had instead of completely changing is August Burns Red. All other bands need to take notes on these 2
@@hyliankoopa8627 I heard someone else compare it to that song by Thornhill so I had to look for it. I see what you mean, it sounds pretty much alike, also very good!
Thank you for this song. Thank you. I'm going through the worst time of my life, including a sick newborn, unrequited love, addiction, jealousy, mental health crises, trials and tribulations. Listening to this song, I've been able to make incremental changes to my life. I have not smoked for 3 weeks (longest time in 20 years). I can run a 5k in under 28 minutes. I believe in myself. I love myself for the first time in a long time. This is what music is about and you've truly moved me. Please don't stop ❤️ I'll see you in London in February
Love you Prada. Been with you through the years. Saw you for the first time at Rocketown in Nashville with ATOJ when we were all in highschool all those years ago in what feels like a different life. I'm glad you are still at it. Just saw you in Atl at the Masq in Feb. You had a new energy about you. All these years later and id say you are the best you have ever been.
Hell yeah brother! I've seen TDWP at Rocketown like 5x lol Just saw them for the 7th time last year at Wildhorse Saloon with Beartooth 🤘🤘 They've been my fave band since '06
It is really crazy how much life can throw at you in a short amount of time. I just turned 32 this year, and since I was 22 I survived a house fire, luckily I was unharmed, just pretty bad smoke inhalation. 6 months after we moved back home after the rebuild my wife and I had a child with special needs (trisomy 21) which came with some difficulties learning how to parent ( and I do not mean that bad, new parents have all kinds of troubles and doubts regardless of a diagnosis, we just knew nothing about our sons diagnosis.) 6 months to the day after our son was born my father passed away from a heart attack. That same day my birth mother told me she was glad he was gone. Then I spiraled into a hate filled alcohol addiction, almost cost me my family, and I lost my job. Fast forward to today, I found a career that has greatly increased our income, my wife has been promoted at work multiple times as well. We have been able to provide our kids with anything they need, and get to go do fun things and make great memories together. And I work so hard at being the best father and husband that I can be. I am so glad I did not give up, as I did plan on ending it all at one point during that time.
@johnjbran life can be very difficult, my message to anyone is to keep going. Find that one small thing in life that brings you joy and focus on that. Thanks for commenting on that, have a great day!

Incredible. I thought they couldn’t get any better than Reaching, but Ignorance is just incredible. They’ve outdone themselves with Color Decay as a whole.
This is the perfect "Yang" to the "Ying" of "Reaching." This is a masterpiece of an album and both of these songs fit so well with the overall sound of Color Decay.
not going to lie I wasn't really big on these guys back in the day. but Im digging into all this new stuff and its such a perfect blend of old and new that its really hitting for me.not to mention I relate to the lyrics so much that im crying.

This band is definitely growing on me-- not that I ever disliked them; this genre is kind of my jam-- but I mean I'm growing to like them more and more all the time. I love how they remind me simultaneously of Wolves at the Gate and Demon Hunter. Very cool in their own right, too!
TDWP fan since Dear Love but I can't overstate how little I care for their newer stuff. But this song. THIS SONG. It's a 90's Weezer/Toadies meets 2000's emo meets Micah's growls. The chord progression is interesting. The vibes are on point. They made something very special here. Nicely done! Cheers, TDWP!

Crazy how people slept on everything 8:18 to The Act but all of a sudden this is the album that puts them back on the map? Don’t get me wrong it’s solid but ffs 2013 and on was also killer
It's Transit Blues and Space EP for me, absolutely stellar releases and TB is my favorite of theirs by a mile. As you said, the album is solid but easily their weakest release in almost a decade. I feel like they played it too safe, almost generic throughout the choruses and there's a surprising lack of Mike on this one, I hope this is very much a one off "covid" album where they wanted to get a lot of shit off their chest and try being a bit more radio friendly and melodic but the next album will be closer to Transit Blues or just something super out there and experimental.
@Operation: Heavener Been listening to TDWP since about 2008/2009. The Act has it's place but it was an opening of a door. Color Decay is relentless catharsis, honesty, and a level of production and mix that they have always needed. I don't think it's over the top at all, the layering of guitars is fucking stellar. Thin thin thin prior to this. The two albums aren't in the same realm. Mike has songs on Color Decay he said he could hardly record, and could go without ever playing/hearing them again for the sole reason that they were overbearing and such a release. The album is a journey through the abyss.......I have to say their "best" work in my opinion.
Such an awesome song, Mike and Jeremy! Been a fan since your first album and have loved every album. You guys are so talented love the emotion you put into your music. Color Decay is an amazing album especially with these two releases Reaching and Ignorance but I have favorites from all of your albums. I'd swear it wasn't true
