3:17 - 5:37 should be around late 2011 - early 2012, mainly becausr of the political ads which referred to a precandidacy election on Feburary 12, 2012.
there was an extremely limited window of time for the history of kid's media where you were getting Bakugan and MLP: FiM-adjacent advertising at the same time. i'd been thinking 2010 to 2012 at the latest but i didn't even catch that political ad somehow, good eye
I was hoping to get a VHS video of their version (recorded in Colombia), but I was unable. I do have a 1997 Mexican version (“Atínale al Precio”), which was true-blue to the US version.
2:26 That one's from the late 2000s/early 2010s. I recognise the logo. 2:55 is also early 2010s. I remember that show. 5:38 If that was RCN Santa Marta on Channel 2, that might be from the early-to-mid 2000s, in that city RCN is now located on Channel 9.
I think these captures are from ago-sep. of 2012, because in octuber of that year there were elections in Venezuela, and I see a commercial for a candidate named Pablo Perez, who ran that same year. There are also previous years, because RCTV presents some animations in its promotions with the graphics used in 1995, in addition to announcing a telenovela that aired in 1995. RCTV changed its historic logo on November 9, 1996. In 2007 RCTV was illegally closed by the government of Hugo Chavez and in its channels a new public channel called "TVes" began to broadcast using the entire network of repeaters owned by RCTV, even today Tves uses the RCTV network without having paid for it. A case of government abuse.
Thanks miguel, it's painful knowing how political ambitions were sadly destroying a TV station that were politically independent and democracy defending in its editorial lines, but were inconvenient for Miraflores. Grettings from Mannheim, BW, DE
I be he....They have varied over the years....At home in mid 90s it may have been the Archer V190, and most recently the Channel Master CM3020 with CM7777 preamp. Away from home, Archer VU90XR, VU75XR, or the Antennacraft C290. Most are discontinued.
Was this recorded long before this was uploaded? These all look like analog fast scan TV broadcasts. Didn't Latin America convert to digital around the same time that the USA did?
Some latin american countries like Mexico and Panama have already shut off their analog broadcasts, while countries such as Venezuela, Bolivia and Chile are still using their analog broadcasts. Although it's true that around the time that the USA shut off their analog, many countries started to introduce digital services, although the old analog broadcasts will continue for some years.
oh man I saw one of my faves marsupilami in that one cartoon ad miss him lots and lots and this vid is awesome and staticool thank you for posting this the more sweet analog staticy tv the better and the mlp toys from mcdonalds were awesome
I wonder if was possible to catch some station from my country (Brazil), in the USA, during the E-Skip. Maybe a channel from north of Amazonas, Rondônia, or Amapá, which are closer to the United States.
Brazil is within double-hop range, so long as you still have low band stations. This guy got Brazil from Portugal: ruclips.net/video/C0gyzbr2YAo/видео.html
I did catch Brazil & Perú on channel 2 on February 29, 2012. Only the Perú video was really good enough to make out for YT. It’s under my former username of cd637299. I just might try to get a littlr of the Brazil part for my channel, but I assure you, it’s a mess!
I have about 135 VHS tapes that feature TV DX, and Ryan (the uploader) was at my home around January 2017, and selected the videos that he thought were best. Click on my name to see the latest DX. All under my name were using iPhone. You may also select my former username “cd637299” for stuff from 2015 and earlier.
Press F to pay respect for RCTV and Inravision.
F for Radio Caracas and Inravision.
the extinction of the RCTV was one of the main reasons for Venezuela's expulsion from Mercosul
both stations were good but DON'T. i fucking hate that "F" shit

2012, because the happy meal ad has the current cartoon network logo

2:55 the Colombian version of The Price is Right (note the Cliffhangers music)
There a lot of Latin american adaptations of popular American shows
I was hoping to get a VHS video of their version (recorded in Colombia), but I was unable. I do have a 1997 Mexican version (“Atínale al Precio”), which was true-blue to the US version.
As a Colombian I confirm

I wish!! Nope, all Sporadic-E. I had tropo to PR and Dominican Republic from home back in 1992.

CHRISTOPHER DUNNE thanks!
How are call signs assigned in these countries?
Venezuela is assigned YV- while Colombia has HJ- and HK; but their TV stations never show them on screen.
Do you have any Venevision TV DX footage from 2001?

Excuse me egrabow440, in 2:13 this RCTV program is a Disney Cartoon?
I think it's The Little Mermaid or whatever TV show is named after the characters.
It's Raw Toonage, i think
Most likely one that aired on either Cartoon Network or Boomerang, given the art style.

2:40 - 2:54 i have seen this movie before, thanks for giving me whiplash LUL
You've played the wild card.
1:39 should be from the 70's
No, look at the CGI.
@@NathanPlays395 I meant that the LOGO was from the 70's.
It might have been created in the 1970s or even earlier; but the video here is from 1995 or so.
the logo's from the 1950's but the version used there is a modern version used from the 80's to the 90's
RCTV reused the logo in 1989, the logo is from 1979, and the logo colored in 1989 and the secondary logo, from 1994.
