    Posso pronunciar a maioria destes exemplos mas "todos os dias," fazem-me sentir como se me estivesse a afogar em saliva.

    That's in any language. When you know it well, you don't make any pauses. When you don't, you really need these pauses to come up with the next word. So don't worry, when your students will be convenient enough with the language, pauses will go away naturally. On the other hand, trying to teach them to speak without pauses, it's just a torture. They won't be able to without a lot more practice.
