      hahaha I have a monopoly on this 😈
      I'm thinking of creating and holding some workshops in the future. But that's only good for small groups and only in-person.
      I can also do commentary while tattooing instead of silence.
      I'm 30 and have a family so sometimes I just want to go to work and not record so I can focus on the tattoo. And when I'm home I want to do what I enjoy so I don't burn out. I don't always want to be editing and YouTubing. But I will make these things happen when I have that extra time and energy ofc.
      I'm figuring it out! in the meantime keep practicing drawing and training your hand. That makes up 80% of all of this anyways.

    Very nice! I love to see tattoo artists who really have an artistic background and anatomy knowledge... it is very rare nowadays, sadly. Im an artist and a week ago i bought my first tattoo kit just to try and see if its really for me and its a very nice experience. I was curios why do you tattoo that big black background with one needle? Doesnt it take too long and is hurting the skin more than a big shader?

      I hope tattooing is for you and if not, there are countless other mediums that could be meant for you.
      It's impractical yes but Im stubborn in that way. I don't know why I'm so averse to switching cartridges. I know it's more work using the single but the thought of stopping and switching is so off-putting to me. Maybe when I'm in the zone I don't want to stop for anything and be snapped out of it?

      I use full black yes but I rely heavily on technique. And I think because of that, I don't recommend you try it unless you spend a lot of time practicing this before you try on real skin. It is easy to mess up and tattoo is permanent. I started doing this later in my career.
      Using grey mixes is more forgiving so consider that please.

    • @jjjaylud
      @jjjaylud  2 года назад +4

      yes I layer to get the tone I want but I also go deeper or shallower too, very slightly because I don't want to risk going too deep or shallow. I can layer at a shallow level or I can layer at a deeper level. So by changing combinations of deep, shallow, and layer amount, I can get what I want!

    • @jjjaylud
      @jjjaylud  Год назад

      Its a straightforward up and down and moving slightly to the right so only one or two passes the same area once. And when I layer it I try to change the angle so it's cross layered. I often go back if one or more strokes or a small area was too light. or if a spot or stroke is too dark I must even it out everywhere too.

      I use an Epson printer 3170 or 3000 series and I pour the purple stencil ink liquid into the printer ink tank. Voltage is sounds like 5.5ish. Is it the actual voice of this particular video? Also when I position myself like you while tattooing(looking behind from the tip), starting from lower left (I'm lefty) always make me rush because of my tattooing hand, putting or moving on the stencil. So do you think that starting from upper left is a good idea for me? Thanx for these amazing videos.

      I prerecorded the noise from my machine. It should be around that voltage yes. You can go higher too I bumped it up slightly recently. Just have a softer touch if the machine or voltage is stronger to balance I’d say?
      Yes go with the area where your machine hand won’t touch the stencil to prevent stencil fading.

I use wjx cartridges as I find them to be the best for price and quality. Do you think it is about cartridges that it does not get injected? @@tinytude Oh crap no I am using Kwadron. I just made a mistake hahaha. I do not use responsive mode. It is used for making it easier to not go too deep. I recommend aveeno for my clients but I do not apply saniderm to fresh tattoo, just wrapping with a stretch and ask them to keep it until the next day. Then, clean with unscented soaps and applying the cream a couple of times with pores on tattooed area open, not covered.
