@@HisMiraclesHappening umm, actually ... , tinnitus is not a illness or disease, but rather a symptom of an underlying condition:
      Definition
Tinnitus is the perception of ringing or other sounds in the ears or head when there is no external source.
      Causes
Tinnitus can be caused by a number of things, including ear injuries, age-related hearing loss, or damage to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
      Symptoms
Tinnitus can be accompanied by hearing loss and decreased ability to understand speech in noisy environments.
      Diagnosis
A trained healthcare provider can diagnose the underlying cause of tinnitus based on a patient's description of their symptoms.
      Treatment
Tinnitus can be managed with relaxation techniques, avoidance of excessive noise, and hearing solutions that provide soothing tones.

For those of you who don't know: This cicada is the Superb Dog-Day Cicada, Neotibicen superbus. It is mainly found in Texas and Oklahoma, with sparse populations in Mexico. Though this cicada is primarily found in Texas and Oklahoma, its range has gradually spread and it can now also be found in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, and Missouri. This cicada cannot be found east of the Mississippi River.
