I use GoPro cameras when I scuba dive and just upgraded to the Hero 6 Black from the Hero 4 Silver because I want the image stabilization. I've never had a case leak on me and I always use a moisture muncher to absorb any condensation from temperature changes. I recently used the Super Suit on 14 dives in Cozumel. Just like before, I used a moisture muncher just in case of any leakage but I didn't experience any. In my opinion, GoPro has done a fantastic job of designing these underwater housings!
The door with the hole in it is not meant to be used underwater, rather it's a door, like it says, that allows more audio and use of the touch screen when using the housing above water. The super suit is not just for underwater, it's a second suit of armor that protects it against falls, rocks, debris and anything else mother nature may throw at it while it's mounted to a motorcross bike, mountain bike, rock climber's helmet or whatever else. Have you had any experience with this for cold temps in regards to helping with the battery life and Hypersmooth? I purchased a power bank but, it looks like it's out of the question for the housing. The coldest temps I’ve exposed it to is about 45 degrees F. Hey, what can I say, I live in Central Texas. No noted change in operation or battery life.
I used mine yesterday without the supersuit in the snow. I have the hero 7 black. It did great. It was about 30 degrees. Had no issues. U can look at my snow day video I posted and see my go pro was in the snow many times. Worked great.

So the problem maybe is the thing that it is too small for the supersuit or the lens thing.
Rohan Shinde you will ruin you’re camera without this case if you submerge it, and a cover is just protecting it from getting bumped around, not water proof. Id get the super suit and call it a day
Marc Stephens - It will work with the Hero7 Black, not sure about the Silver. Google GoPro’s 800 Customer Service number and they’ll be able to tell you. Their folks are really helpful.
VR 46, the battery also runs down very fast on my GoPro 6 as well. I’d charge it completely, let it record for an hour and then see how much charge (%) was used. Then I’d call GoPro customer service and see if you’re in the normal range. They are pretty helpful I’ve found.
On my gopro 7 black battery lasts about 1hr 5 - 20 min, went and got the charger battery combo for some extra juice and thinking about buying at least another third battery, sucks trying to conserve battery and miss out on cool random shots.
How about the GoPro Hero 7 silver? Does it also fit? Because if I put mine in it's kinda loose till is close the door. And if closed the image the camera shows is restricted to a circle and the outside of this circle is all black?! I'm confused. Besides: There is no cover lenses on the 7 silver which you could take off :(
You can if you use the second door with the opening in it. However, it will not be waterproof to the same depth if you do. The super suit is then just a "protector suit!" :)
Can the Go Pro 7 be immersed without super suit straight from box? In about 5 to 10 feet of water. Ive heard it can it just seems like water could get into battery/micro card housing. Thanks for any help.

Wow , the lens is a pain to remove , finally had to use a pair of channel locks VERY GINGERLY!!!! just to pull it out to turn it . I do not recommend it unless your real good with tools . lol ,,,,
The GoPro 6 can be found anywhere for $399. However, the new GoPro 7 will be available in a couple days so you may want to wait a little bit as the price of the GoPro should fall at least $100.
The camera is rated waterproof only to 30 feet down. (How do you know when you get to 31 feet? :) The Super Suit also serves as great protection if your camera is mounted to the exterior of a car, motorcyle, etc., or just some place where it could get banged up easily.

Yes, GoPro says you can take it down 33 feet, but personally I wouldn’t take the chance. Particularly in salt water.
