i really love your 'geometric' approach to sketching and portraits, it really gives your art a very unique look! for me getting the shapes right is always challenging but these tips were very insightful!
I think the most important part is to take your time. I constantly rush my stuff, making it look worse than it needs to be, and i thrash a lot of projects because they dont appeal to myself. If i took more time on the sketch, id probably like it more.
My favourite digital artist painting my favourite iconic actress 💜 Thank you for all the tips 🙏🏼 I struggle with portraits, the angle, proportions etc. I had to start my last painting 4 times again and again and then I gave up because the face was still looking off. I'm definitely going to try again but just had to cool off my frustration.
Exactly! It's very rare to get things right at the beginning. Just keep learning and keep trying and you'll eventually get better at the skill you're practicing.
proportions is something I think alot of artists struggle with me especially I always never know what specifically is off I flip it I see something's off and I can't tell what. Looking at my art now I can see the center gets diagonal around the nose in a way that is unatuarl with the angel of the portrait. it's most likely because there was no single clear center line I feel brain dead for not thinking to do that before. 🤦
