Just heard of the sad passing of the legend, Gerrie Coetzee. So sad to have heard this. We loved this great boxer. Heartfelt condoences to his precious family and friends
Coetzee was deceptively quick for a big guy and had some serious mustard in his right hand... But a brawling, unbalanced style coupled with a tendency to fight 'chin up' meant he was always there to be hit.

These punches must have been of bonecrushing strength! One thing I noticed is that Gerrie always fully extended his arms at every punch.
