Just to make you an idea of how big Spinetta is, his birthday is the Musician Day in Argentina.
And to clarify any confusion, he wasn't born on the Musician Day, fuck no, that day it's actually celebrated to honoring his birthday.
He was out of this world❤️
Spinetta was Gustavo Cerati's Idol. His best period was at the 70s with Invisible band.
i have to agree,.... que te escribo en inglés.. seré pelotas... yo diria lo mismo.
Pescado Rabioso's Artaud. That's where you should start
Spinetta a big big founder member of argentine rock. A lot of his bands: Almendra. Pescado rabioso. Invisible. Jade. Los socios del desierto and spinetta himself. they are a world of music from folk. blues. Hard rock. Jazz fusion. New wave in the 80s . a power trio in the 90s. And a very personal style and feeling in all records. More than 40 albums that includes music soundtracks and even sang an english album......
A very short list of v.i.p. for the argentinian rock: spinetta. Pappo. Charly Garcia. Cerati. Indio solari. Fito Paez. And many many more. This is a top of the iceberg
in Argentina the musician national day is in memory of Luis Alberto Spinetta.
At the end Gustavo said: If there is a dream become true, is this. Enjoy it Luis.
Soinetta was a hero for Gustavo
Thats rigth!!
To the end of the song Gustavo said "if there's a realized dream is here". Gustavo admired Spinetta too much.
It's an awesome vid. They're legends!
Thank you again Rob😘
Spinetta was a legend, founder of rock in Argentina, you can tour his work and it would be an endless journey.
This was the concert where Spinetta invited all the bands that played with him since his first 68' album with Almendra. And also invited Cerati, Paez, etc. Spinetta is widely considered the best argentinian rock musician and poet. I suggest you could check more of this concert (Las Bandas Eternas) or Pescado Rabioso if you want to listen a bit of his musical career.
Thanks...Spinetta was a big big musician...Gustavo love this guy...have a good sunday
This concert was Spinetta's last concert where he celebrated 40 years as a musician and invited all the musicians that took part in his career (all his bands, and leyends like Charly García and Gustavo Cerati himself) Gustavo admired Spinetta and Spinetta admired Gustavo and they are both leyends of the Argentinian music, probably the two biggest ones, this concert was in 2009, one year before Gustavo's stroke and 3 years before Spinetta passed away due to Lung Cancer, the fact that neither of them is with us anymore is tragic but that they were able to make theirs and our dream come true with them both playing together on stage was absolutely legendary
SPINETTA is a god of argentine rock, thanks Robk!!!!!!!!
Flaco (Skinny- Luis Alberto's nickname for being a tall skinny guy) Spinetta was suffering from cancer by this time, his voice register was lower as you can hear. Flaco was Gustavo's musical inspiration. That hug and gratitude was authentic.
Gustavo Cerati was such a fan of Spinetta that he postponed a show he had in Uruguay that same day so he can be at the show with Spinetta and play with him!
“Bajan” in Spanish mean “Come Down” , Luis Alberto Spinetta is a Argentine Rock & Roll Legend, who by the mid 60’s formed the band “Almendra” (Almond) and who along with others two great bands “Manal” and “Los Gatos” (The Cats) were the pioneers of the “Argentine National Rock” also pioneers and promoters of the “Rock in Sanish” in the world, since until then all the Rock & Roll’ bands sang
Until them all the Rock & Roll’s bands around the world sang only in English
That Clip is from a 5 hours long Spinetta Cocnert called, "Spinetta y las Banda eternas" "Spinetta and the eternal Bands" in which Luis played several songs with the original band members of each of his bands. It was probably the best show i've been to.
Hey Rob! That was kind of a "Goodbye" gig from Spinetta. It was a 5-hour long concert with participation of all of his bands and friends like Ceratti, García, Paez, etc.....it was very emotional. Spinetta (el Flaco) was a founder, a hero, a musical genius we had in Argentina...a was really loved and a magic character....thank you!!!
Gustavo always regarded Spinetta as his idol and one of his biggest influences.
I've just discovered your channel and I love the way you really like our rock (I'm form Argentina) and how your really enjoy who we consider idols and genious of our music👏🏼
Spinetta is a legend in Argentina and a few Latin American countries. The Music Day in Argentina is celebrated on his birthday.
But in that show he was losing his voice; and he was a prodigious guitarist, a talent you couldn't see in this video.
He was one of Gustavo heroes.
Thanks for sharing, Rob! 😙
One of the greatest artists from Argentina. In that concert Spinetta played with all her old bands, it was spectacular! This song was play by Gustavo like a cover. Thats why Spinetta called him to play together.
I love your reactions man, I’m from Mexico. You are right , a couple of legends on the stage !! Should do more “flaco” Spinetta
L.A. Spinetta was Gustavo's idol...This song Bajan (composed by Spinetta) was covered by Gustavo in his solo álbum called Amor amarillo (1993)
I always cry at the end of that song. Cerati really loved Spinetta and you can notice in his face and how happy is he in that moment.
A better song of Spinetta is Postcrucifixión...progresive/hard rock... please listen that song
Beautiful song by Luis Alberto Spinetta👏👏👏
Back in the 70's when Spinetta himself was gaining popularity in Argentina, one of his fans was Cerati, Gustavo had a great influence on Luis Alberto, which led him to form Soda Stereo in the 80's
In Argentina the musician's day is celebrated for the birthday of the already long-lost Luis Alberto Spinetta, "El flaco"
You figured right, it´s a Spinetta tune.
Gustavo's admiration for Luis is synthesized by himself at the end with his thanks ... "If there is a dream, it is this one"
Spinetta is one of the foundational heroes of Argentine rock, excellent musician and composer, led many bands and an extensive solo career, but also is recognized for his exquisite lyrics, poetry in purest form. A complete artist.
One of the great influences for Gustavo. Mutual respect.
This show was called "Spinetta and The eternal bands". Was due december 2009. Three years later Spinetta died, two years after Cerati died.
And a huuuge part of Argentinian Rock died with them.
I would highly recommend the MTV unplugged he recorded in the 90, and also found the lyrics of the songs, he is a true poet. I don't want to describe him, but a lot people were not ready for him and when you wake up is orgasmic!
Luis is our god, the hero of our music. And it is such his career that this concert, in which he played songs with all the bands he had, was actually almost 5 hours long. He was an amazing poet, composer, musician and all around such a beautiful soul, and will be forever missed
OMG I LOVE Spinetta and Soda Stereo and I'm crying so much watching your videos! I was on that 2007 concert of Soda Stereo and I also was on this one. And all the feelings are coming back watching you reacting.
Thanks now I can die in peace...
In my memories Gustavo Cerati and Luis Spinetts... Both guys are dead, but the are live in our hearts
This was a legendary 4-hour long concert that Spinetta did for his career's 40th anniversary. He played the hits from his solo career with dozens of guests for the first half and then for the second half he revisited all his former bands hits, with all the members of said bands on stage with him. It was fucking unforgettable.
I'm a big fan of your videos, thanks for bringing Spinetta. along with Charly, Gustavo and El Indio they are the greats of Argentine rock. I'm waiting to see you on Thursday in twich
Power! Década del 70 ruclips.net/video/4R3frOPYIpU/видео.html
I also recommend Leopoldo´s choice. I must say "Invisible" (same meaning in english) as well as "Jade" (the precious rock) bands, and specially this song, are true fans and Spinetta´s experts material. It´s not chewing gum music. You must take your time, relax and let yourself go on a different musical trip. Enjoy Robk ! If you keep like this, you´ll end up coming to Argentina lol

@@RobkReacts Yes, I did...keep it up Robk.
Happy , a great encounter,Spinetta the máster and founder Argentinian Rock mouvement in the finals of '60, and Gustavo Cerati , the argentinian Rockstar , Gustavo love Spinetta ,he was your idol, your hero ,is very simple Rob in Argentina Spinetta is God. Abrazo
You have a great charisma and a powerful voice brother, it was fun to see this haha, so good to hear the respect you show for Ceratti. This is an old video maybe you already know more about his music, but if you want to know more about Spinneta, this album: Pescado Rabioso - Artaud its a good way to start (this song its in that album, its from 1973) The best classic rock from latin america

Bajan its an old tune from the band Pescado Rabioso(spinetta's 2nd band) that Gustavo covers in "Amor Amarillo" (his first solo album). This Bajan Video it belongs to an extensive 5 hour show from Spinetta's Anthology Live Show(Bandas Eternas) with a lot o featurings from Argentinian Rock.
Seeing you enjoying 80's Soda so much I personally recommend you "Spinetta Jade"(any album) or "Giros" from Fito Paez and of course Charly Garcia's "Modern Clicks"
Cheers From Bahia Blanca, Sory for my english Loving Your Videos!!!
Music from 70's 80's 90's, both legends, both passed away. Spinetta was big even Eminen made Stepdad with a sample of Spinetta number.
Luis alberto spinetta ft. Juanse - ¿ Adónde está la libertad? Proper rock n roll 🙏🤘
Hi Robk how are you? This show lasted for more than 3 hours, as a celebration of Spinettas musical carrier, all of his bands played on stage that night and of course Spinetta played and sung like if it was his last day.....that was not far from the truth, he passed away a few years later. This show is called Spinetta y las Bandas Eternas (Spinetta and the Eternal Bands). I personally love all his albums, but highly recommend his band INVISIBLE that was more experimental, jazz rock, and if i have to choose a song it will be the crazy JUGO DE LUCUMA, INVISIBLE was a trio. Kind regards from Australia mate!!!!
Thanks Spinetta, thanks Robk...I love they.
My mom was a high school teacher and a adult's school teacher, when Spinetta passed away one of his students (i believe a guy in his late fourties) readed the news in his cell phone, stood up and sayed: "excuse me teacher but El Flaco (Spinetta) died, i need a cigarette" she allowed him and went to have a smoke. It was a sad day for everybody.
ESTA PARTICIPACION EN ESTE RECITAL FUE UNA DE ESAS COSAS TAN MARAVILLOSAS QUE TE REGALAN LA VIDA
Some may consider this man it's a kind of David Bowie on angetinian lands. He started un the early 60's Even before he founded his ever their first musical group Almendra. You should check out his career ' cause he's got a lotta' different stages Even dealing with electronics. I could recommend two albums such as "Prive" in the mid 80's and "Silver Sorgo" in 2001. And songs such as " No seas Fanática" or " Agua de la Miseria" Taken from the album " Para Los Árboles" in 2003.
For you to realize how majestic LUIS ALBERTO SPINETTA is, GUSTAVO CERATI himself was a fan of him.
Very good your videos.
You can do some with 2 MINUTES an Argentine band, the song AIRPORT.
Thank you.
Listen to the song AMAME PETERIBI--PESCADO RABIOSO (1973 Spinetta band) EMINEM SAMPLER in his stepfather song.
Excelente!! 2 Genios!!!
Bien gracias , vivadonperonyevitaeterna.-
That night at the Vélez Sarsfield Stadium, Gustavo fulfilled his dream of being able to play and sing that song with his idol Luis A. Spinetta.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind 🙌🏻 🙌🏻
yes he is spinetta
Spinetta was cerati's idol. He said luis alberto was his inspiration on the way he sang. Spinetta is considered the father of spanish rock because he was one of the first band of rock in spanish with his band "Almendra" in the 60s. The greatest musicians of argentina has considered spinetta as their idol.
Maestros

Spinetta is beyond everything and we miss him very much. Spinetta went through very different periods of great music, but If you want to listen to Spinetta´s rock period you may listen to one of his bands "Pescado Rabioso" (Rabid fish) songs: "Post Crucifixion" and "Despiertate nena" (wake up babe) around 1971 to 1973. Luis Alberto Spinetta was not only a great great musicioan, he was a great human being, everybody loved and loves him and will do forever and ever. Spinetta is Love in Music.
hear INVISIBLE...ONE OF THE BEST BANDS OF SPINETTA
Hello friend, I subscribed to your channel 3 weeks ago, and it is fantastic how you live the music, I tell you, about Spinetta he was the greatest poet of Argentine rock and a very special innovative musician, also his musical themes combines, Jazz rock, tango rock, folk rock, jazz fusion, new wave, electronic rock, experimental rock, pop rock, funk rock, blues rock, hard rock, progressive rock, soft rock, psychedelic rock, in turn, is the father of Argentine rock today and always for his great creativity and complex music at times in his great bands, called; Pescado Rabioso, Invisible, Spinetta Jade, and Spinetta
It has many fantastic themes, here some in my opinion and it is more focused on the musical, for other people it will be other musical themes for varied tastes, in musical themes, because it is broad what Spinetta left in the musical! obviously there are more themes! a great Spinetta teacher for all generations of Argentine rock musicians!

Spinetta was really ill when he gave this concert, he was just diagnosed with lung cancer so he decided to make this concert in a way to show his entre career, it was a 6 hour long concert in which he collaborated with a lot of famous rock artists from Argentina like Cerati and Charly García, u should check out Té para tres and Rezo por vos (Charly was hospitalized for drug addiction, at the moment of the concert he was just released so practically he went straight from the hospital to the stadium to sing this song)
You need knows Spinetta Man... Please react to "perdonado" from his band of 70s call "invisible"

Spinetta was a pioneer artist of the argentinean rock scene of the late 60s. You should check out Almendra (1966-1969; the first band where he was one the founders).; Spinetta y amigos from 1971 (a project of Spinetta and Pappo, a famous blues guitarrist). Other bands you can check are Pescado Rabioso (1970-1973); Invisible (1973-1978). You can see diferent kind of influences: The Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabath In Almendra dor example you can see the influence of The Beatles, in the song "Hoy todo el hielo en la ciudad". Here is a list of interesting songs to listen: "Era de tontos (Spinetta y amigos); "Post-crucifixion" and "Las Habladurias" (Pescado Rabioso"); "Azafata del tren fantasma" (Invisible); "Sucio y desprolijo (Pappo blues)
